Can someone help me settle on a creepy, ominous word for something?

    Hey,

I'm looking for a good word that's vague, but also ominous-sounding because it describes something really creepy but currently unknown (except by some conspirators working behind-the-sccenes at the top). Like a euphamism for something that's obviously very forboding. I'm using "wreckers" right now but that's not really cutting it. Any thoughts? Thanks!
