I cannot post in the novels thread, no replies, no new threads no nothing. When I do the link is broken, how do I fix this?
Hello??? Anybody??? The issue is still happening. I don't seem to have any problems in any other forums, just the novel's forum. Why is this? Is anybody else having problems posting there too?
If there was a server-side issue, it would affect all users. This is not the case. There have been many posts in the ‘novel’ section since your original post. Are you indeed trying to ‘reply’ and not ‘start a new thread’? If you are logged in and can’t ‘reply’ then you are experiencing a client-side issue. Try again and let me know. We’ll get it figured out.
I too would like to add that I still cannot submit an entry to the SF writing Contest and am experiencing the same problem, or the computer just freezes up. It appears that no amount of reduction in the size of the manuscript chunk helps. I did post a sinlge one line repy to the thread which confirmed that the reply section worked. Is there an inadvertnet word limit imposed on new members that needs removed perhaps?
This happens to me occasionally. When I press "Post Quick Reply" a dialog opens asking if I want to leave the page. Clicking "Leave the Page" 404s. Same thing if I go advanced and try to post. Other people are posting, so it's not server-side. The only thing that works is restarting my computer. Windows XP SP 3 running Google Chrome browser.
I'm having no luck posting a response to a discussion in "General Writing". Just started an hour or so ago.
Yeah, going to have to amend my last comment. Restarting didn't work this time. Also General Writing, but just started about 15 minutes ago or so.
Hey guys. Just wanted to say that whilst I don't know what's causing this or how to fix it, we are aware of it and are looking for a solution.
Just an update: I didn't do anything special. Actually, I kept my browser open to the "New posts" page for a while while doing other things (Double "while"? I think that's a first for me.). Now I can post in General Writing again. ...I have no idea.
Still can't post in that particular "General Writing" thread (the writing's become a chore one). No problem posting in other threads. ?? (Can't seem to send PMs either - just keep getting the same white screen as when trying to post)
I can't post in novel section??? I've been here 14 days, I'm of the "member" rank, and I have given 2 (constructive?) posts in the novel section, what's wrong???
