Davian: Yes, I am a pirate. Captain of my own ship, as a matter of fact. Luekas here is my First Mate. Kyris: Yes, Katsumi, they did. The planet in question, Hades, is by far the smallest in the system, and since it is the farthest away from our sun it has areas that are very tough to live in if you aren't from the planet to begin with. Regarding the number of pirates... Davian: Allow me. To begin with, most crews are like mine, made up of people from all the planets. And there are about fifty different pirate crews, of which the biggest is two thousand people. And it never was us conquering the planet. The natives never were big fans of interplanetary law to begin with so when crews started making permanent residence they didn't care. Them getting a share of the loot from every crew they allow to stay might also have something to do with it. Jefrye: *to Ayana* We told you about us traveling from planet to planet through space, right? The pirates do the same thing. The only planet they land on is Hades, though. Well, most of the time, anyway. There have been a few cases of them landing on other planets now and then over the years. Davian: Most won't do it because it puts the crew in a much more dangerous position. Think of it like this - when is it the easiest to steal a wagon? When it is standing still or when it is in motion? Landing a ship would mean Attack Dog here and his crew would have an easier time capturing us.
Katsumi: That is...a lot of pirates. I suppose your world is much bigger than ours, so it makes sense. Ayana: You did mention that your world has space travel. I simply didn't realize it was so accessible that a common pirate could access it. I figured that for the sort of thing the wealthy would hoard.
Thorn: Yep...you definitely missed a lot. Amber: We have time travel in our world too, but since there are rules about how to travel, it's been a lot easier for us. Amber: *to Ayana* Usually making the device requires a little magic since it's easier to do that. Changing your appearance with magic is considered old-school but yeah, we still do that. But changing your look with magic is a bit painful, I rather use the device instead.
Davian: *to Katsumi* To be honest, the crew with that many members is in reality four crews that work so tightly together that they practically are one very huge crew. They even have four ships, while other crews just have one. Plus I also counted the people they have permanently located on other planets in the system. To look for potential targets and things like that. Normally a crew is between one hundred and two hundred people, all working in shifts so that the ship is running non-stop both day and night. Kyris: *to Ayana* A very long time ago that was true, but now pretty much everyone goes off-world at least a few times during their lifetime. Like most people would travel outside their hometowns for different reasons in your world.
Shiro: Excuse me, but you are talking about something that interests me greatly. You say you can travel through time? Would you happen to know how you would go about creating such magic? I have come across a young goddess who used to claim that she also traveled through time. *The man is about thirty. He's dressed in a very formal white robe and his head is shaved. He talks in a tone that a grade school teacher would use.* Ah, where are my manners? My name is Shiro, and I teach the children of my village. I must say, you and everyone else here seem to have very unique fashions. Do you come from different countries? This place seems to be a meeting point from anywhere across the planet... No, I don't think any of you are from my world. Might I ask your name?
Amber: Yeah, we can travel time here on our world. Time travel isn't magic, it's Science, it has a explanation on how they make it but I slept through History class-Most of the people here is from different worlds and galaxies. If I were from a different country, you guys couldn't understand me! I'm Amber Wolfe, but you can call me Amber. May I ask how you got here? Thorn: Wait- ARE YOU FROM THE PAST?!? Rebecca: *to Katsumi* I think you're from another dimension since our Earth here doesn't have any people living there since it's recovering from climate change and terrible gases. Amber: To be honest, I kinda agree with Thorn...but just in case, DON'T LET THE PEOPLE THERE SEND A ROCKET CALLED " EB-096" INTO SPACE IN THE FUTURE. It's the only way to conserve Earth's nature and you guys don't have to move on Mars.
Shiro: Well, Miss Amber, this space has existed since the beginning of time, and I simply walked through the border between my world and here. I've known this was here, but I didn't have a reason to come here until the aforementioned goddess seemed to disappear. I've come to look for her, but I think this will be a far more entertaining waste of time. While innocuous events can sway the future, this rocket event you speak of must be a very critical moment in history to have such a large effect on your future. Can you tell us more about this? I might not understand most of it, but the young goddess used to talk about similar things back in the day, so I can at least follow along.
Kyris: Greetings, Shiro. My name is Kyris, and this is Jefrye, Davian, and Luekas. All of us are from the planet Gaea in the Helios System. While time travel is beyond our capabilities, we do have very advanced technology. You said you are teaching at your village? I might be a prince, but I am also a scholar, so I am very interested in learning about your world. In exchange, I will gladly tell you what I can about mine.
Katsumi: It’s a pleasure to meet you, Shiro. I am Katsumi, and the others are Sapphire, Ayana, and Nithara. (She gestures to each one as she says their names) Sapphire: As far as I can tell, your world has only humans, so we certainly aren’t from the same dimension. Unless…no. Humans could never fully wipe us out, could they?
Amber: Goddesses? There were goddesses and gods in your place? I read myths and stories about them but I thought they didn't exist-until now. I see that you want to listen to this horrible tragedy...ok I'll start. Some years ago, when everyone still lives in Earth and time travel and such magic or technology didn't exist yet, a scientist called Kars Moleno believed that there were life beyond Earth. Of course, worlds like yours aren't discovered yet and spirits were in hiding. Good-hearted people took care of nature while, evil-hearted people, like Kars destroy nature to make way for buildings or to use them for something else. So, Kars keeps on using wood or leaves for his projects--most of it failed so he's wasting wood and leaves. He usually use poison leaves and old wood because he believed that it have "dark magic". The remains of his failed projects he put in a large capsule that a lot of people was interested in it. When he announced that he'll send into space, many people tried to warn him but it's no use, he didn't listen. He put all the trash of the poisonous leaves and old wood in the capsule inside the rocket and named it "EB-096". When he sent into space, it backfired. He didn't put enough wood and the rocket fell back to Earth. Luckily, it hit only one part of Earth but it let out a poisonous gas. Many people wear masks and blamed Kars for this incident. He was sent into jail for illegal logging and for doing this project with no permit. Scientists went to Mars and turned Mars into "the new Earth" when magic was discovered. People used magic to heal Earth and clear the air. Right now, Earth is still healing and like I said, we might go back there soon. It took a lot of effort to make Mars livable since a lot of lives were lost at that time...I'm glad that we fixed this. Thorn: Ok, that's long but who is this goddess you speak of? And is this event similar of what she said?
Rebecca: My kind (a.k.a. humans) could done that. In the event Amber told us, it's possible that some of us could done that but there are good people who'll stop them from doing that. Thorn: I think you're mistaken but there are other people than humans? *Thorn touches one of his horns* There are people who are mixes of other animals or alien-related people, like me. Amber: I think she meant people from Earth? You're from Europa. Thorn: I-
Sapphire: That is indeed what I meant. Your world has no elves, as far as I can tell. Would that be a correct assumption?
Shiro: My apologies in advance, but this might be a bit long-winded. Our world is divided into many small areas to be ruled by powerful beings. A fair few of those are mighty dragons, vicious demons, or a few crafty kings, but most are ruled by gods, powerful and minor. The area my village resides in was once ruled by two minor gods who were brothers. The eldest was known as Sugisatta, the God of the Bygone Era, as he had the power to know the history of the world as he willed it. The youngest was named Tabi, the God of Journeys, for all he blessed would arrive at their destination a stronger man. Due to the domain of these gods, our village was hailed as the Capital of the History Keepers, and that is why we were left be by the pillagers and conquerors that aimed to seize more power. No one wanted to risk destroying the very people who may carry their own legacies some day. The village lived like this for generations, watching in peace while the world warred around them. When the wars finally died down, the village was left completely untouched. Untouched, until one fateful day when the mountain next to the village shuddered, and a new cave suddenly exploded into existence. The village sent out scouts to see what had happened, and they found a giant metal orb within the new cave. Out of the orb came a young woman who spoke of alternate worlds and enemies with weapons far beyond our grasp. Even if she were lying or delusional, it was obvious that she was not from our world. Sugisatta confirmed this, as neither she nor her orb had existed within history until that very day. She bared no ill will, but the brother gods only saw it as one last threat from the dying wars. They attacked her, and she fought back with terrifying force that could rival even the major gods. With power over the flow of time and strength that could create ravines and mountains, she defeated the brothers, killing Tabi during the battle. Sugisatta retreated and the young woman claimed the area as her own, seemingly unable to return to where she came from. She had a name, but none can remember it. The young woman became as revered as a god, and was simply called Yamanokami, the God of the Mountain. It's a sad tale, really. The brothers fought her for no reason, and they payed the price for it. When she first arrived, Yamanokami was so sweet and kind, but the passing eras changed her. It came to a point where she now believes that her life before coming to our world was simply a dream she had before waking up inside of the mountain. She completely adopted her new life as a god, and has even fought off several would-be conquerors. Over time, even her cheerful attitude rotted away into hopeless duty, only protecting the village and sleeping in her mountain until she's needed again. When she first came here, she spoke of friends that were travelling with her. I believe she may still be waiting for them, even if she doesn't realize it. Moving on, it's a pleasure to meet you all. As you can see, I know enough about Yamanokami, but I don't know enough about the rest of you. Miss Amber, it's good that your world is clearing away the mess of that device, but, I must ask something. If the EB-096 had never been launched, would you all have discovered magic? *He gives a slight bow* Lord Kyris, it's a gift to make the acquaintance of royalty. I hope you don't find my story too boring, but I added as much flare as my heart could allow within an accurate historical retelling. *To Sapphire* You are an interesting one. You aren't human, you say? I'm not quite sure what an elf is. Is it some kind of deity?
Katsumi: I am royalty as well, for whatever it is worth. Of a kingdom, though, not a planet. Sapphire: You don't know what elves are? Nithara: We're not deities. We're another race. With the horns, and the pointed ears, and the eyes...? (She gestures to each of her features as she mentions them, looking a little confused)
Amber: I-I haven't thought about that...but if it wasn't launched, I think magic would still be discovered but it'll take a lot of years. If that happened, time travel and place travel won't exist yet and we would still be living on Earth and some of my friends will disappear- Thorn: What- Rebecca: I think you don't have elves in your world. Just like what Nithara said, elves aren't a kind of deity, they're magical people with long ears and sometimes horns.
Nithara: Well, we are not by nature magical. Some of us do have magical capabilities, of course, but that is not limited to elves. And some, like myself, lack any magic at all. There is no shame in it, though. It simply is.
Rebecca: Oh I see, from my experience I met one elf who have some magic. She's actually a healer so she's an expert of magical remedies.
Kyris: *to Shiro* Oh, I found it quite enligthening, no need to worry. We Gaeans did worship a Panthéon many generations ago, but as our technology grew more advanced we found that the so called gods were merely our ancestors way of making the world around them make sense. Jefrye: *to everyone* We Gaeans are neither human nor magical, although we do share a physical feature with elves, namely our ears. On the other hand, some things we can do with our technology can seem like magic to those who has less advanced technology than us.
Amber: *to Kyris* Do you know how to get out of here? Surely, your kingdom needs you--right? Thorn: What are Panthéons? Are they evil or good creatures?
Kyris: I do know how to get back home. A door opens if I wish to return to our world. My kingdom has very little need of me personally, however. I have a lot of older brothers, so the chances that I will ascend the throne after Father’s passing is quite small, almost nonexistant. Jefrye: Not to mention that the moment he leaves this place he will be a prisoner onboard Davian’s pirate ship. We do return to the same time and place we entered this place from. I have checked.
Rebecca: *to Kryis* So if you have older brothers, who is likely to be the new ruler after your father pass away? You can go through the bookshelf portal, you say the place where you want to go and go through the portal. (She shows the bookshelves as she spoke) Amber: *to Jefrye* Wait...prisoner? (Turns to Kryis) Why haven't you told me? (glances at Jefrye) Should I kick him-?
Kyris: That would be Derix, my oldest brother. Or half-brother. Not all of us have the same mother. For example, Derix’ mother is the Empress, while my mother was one of Father’s concubines. Kyris: I believe we have mentioned it... If we have forgotten to do so then I apologize. There have been quite a few people coming and going here so keeping track on who you have told what can get a little difficult. And it is not like you can do anything to help. It is not possible for any of us to go to each other’s worlds, after all. Jefrye: I could have done something, though! If you had just said yes when I asked to come with you on your trip to Ares— Kyris: In retrospect, maybe I should have said yes. But you know why I didn’t. If I had, you would have just tried to convince me to get back together with you again. Jefrye: That is only because I still love you, even if you don’t love me anymore that won’t ever change.
Amber: Okay, so you're not a prisoner? Rebecca: I don't know but can you explain why you are a prisoner Kyris? It's better if we know what's going on.. Amber: It's possible to go to other worlds, with place travel.
