Corbyn's Answers: 1. If you were to fall into a trap that your particular skill set couldn't get you out of, and you had to rely on one of your companions to help you, who would it be and why? Tailey. Her and I may butt heads a lot on the best way to do things and on whose goal is more important, but in the end, she's the most competent person I know and she'll never back down, ever. She's also been quick and resourceful her whole life. Sure she can be kind of a B sometimes, but if someone needs her, she'll be there, and she'll be able to figure something out. 2. What is your weapon of choice when hunting? A device a mentor a long time ago taught me how to make. It's a special type of launcher that can hold any type of ammunition, rocks or dirt clods or acorns or anything else you can find in the wild, as long as it's around the right size. I'm good at it, and I can shoot from far away without having to be up close to something. Only drawback is that sometimes, with bigger and tougher animals, the ammo I've got in there won't be enough. 3. If you had to live in a city, what would you do to support yourself? Something involving building, or engineering of some kind, or manual labor. I'm good at working with my hands and putting stuff together. Preferably a job that's not high-stress where I don't have anyone's life in my hands. Maybe a carpenter? 4. Do you have any artistic abilities? Is hunting an art? Okay, um...I guess I'm good at carving stuff. But I only do it when I need to, like carving weapons and guard tower structures for the people back home. But she hates it; she's perfectly capable at handling herself, or she thinks she is, and she always thinks her way is the right way, too, but sometimes she just doesn't know better - she's younger, and *flinches at kick* ouch! 2. Can she be a bit...melodramatic at times? What do you do when she is? Ignore her? Not melodramatic. Just a bit too blunt. Harsh. And stubborn. It can be a pain, but I'm the same way. Well, Nobody is perfect. The point isn't to give him so many flaws that he's cliche, but enough so that he seems real. Flaws could be small things... Like pet peeves. Maybe he is extremely annoyed by ooooh.... People who txt or talk while your having an important conversation. You know the type who are listening to you explain a heart murmur or something important then the next are gabby/texting away... Or something similar. The point I'm making is... if you make him perfect he won't seem real and that takes away from your story.
Oooohh!! In that case... I haven't thought of one. Except that he's attracted to my MC, Sabby, who is a homocidal car thief with nymphomaniac tendencies. Is that flaw enough, falling for your ultimate opposite? Hmm... He's also methodical. Has a certain way he likes things done or feels he needs to start over- sometimes wishes there were a "do over" button he could push sometimes to help out. As the story progresses he becomes more and more of an alcoholic. Mostly to help him sleep at night... Would there be a way to make these into flaws? If they aren't already?

Occupation: Hunter Relevation to the story: The main characters learn there is a great evil in the city coming from another world and ends up tracking down Niky, thinking she's the evil one. But although she's from the other world, she has hunted it for a long time in her own world and followed it here, knowing perfectly well she might never get back home. My New character, Melima Corbrar (name means lovable, last name means craftsman) Elf, 24 (age of consent 25 for elves) Title: Duchess of Myil (Myil=emerald gift) Myil is a lush green land, but is poor and small in size (thus the title does not hold alot of power.) mostly populated by elves. hair:long black hair, sometimes braided height: 4'11" hobbies: archery(*hey, shes an elf), gossiping, minor magic use, phobias: orcaphobia(*fear of orcs) fear of snakes(mother died from a snake bite) faults:sometimes acts like a spoiled aristocrat(but hates when she sees this in herself.) Father arranged for Melima to marry another Duke, 1 year before she is of age. The marriage would improve her fathers finances and power, and secondly provide Melima a honorable home with wealth. Fleeing from an abusive fiance' she seeks shelter from a severe down pour, in a hidden cave. Where she finds a large egg. She is looking at the egg when the mother returns. The egg begins to hatch while the mother is out chasing the searchers away. Mother dragon named Kobalta, she is part of a Dragon rider team for the military hatchling is named Eildetha(means Blue eternal) Kobalta kills Melima's fiances' main henchman(Magrun) as he grabbed Eildetha. But the rest of the search party escaped. So the three must flee before an army returns. Melima rides Kobalta towards their desert home. Eildetha is carried in the arms of her mother. Kobaalta has no harness or equipment to safely carry a humanoid. So she is flying low and slow for safety. Since both Kobalta and Melima were present at her hatching, Eildetha accepts both as her parents. Melima and Eildetha have a deep bond since the hatching. He is reluctant to do so because of his values. Eg. let a charitable, selfless and well liked old lady be killed horribly in a hit and run 'accident' by a criminal. This prevents said criminal from starting a huge collision which would kill dozens and affect hundreds. (The criminal would cause a crash on the highway, causing a truck carrying radioactive waste to spill it's contents into a river, which is used by the town.) In this scenario the lady reminds him of his grandmother, who he is very close to and if he lets the lady die, the criminal would escape justice/the police. Attributes: Fiercely loyal, strong, loving, protective of loved ones, strong sense of right and wrong, which is tested as he finds out more and more about the 'age old war' and his part in it. Flaws: Short fuse/quick to anger, prone to rash actions, arrogant, stubborn, rebellious/strong hatred of authority. History: Half angel and half demon. Lives as a mortal unaware of his 'destiny' until his powers emerge. Lives with a family of mortals who are unaware of his heritage and lie to him about being adopted. Appearance (notes): Tall and lanky build. Starting to build muscle (sinewy muscle if that makes sense). Medium length golden brown hair, often messy. Pale skin. Green eyes in mortal form. Red eyes in 'supernatural appearance' as well as golden black wings. (Gold symbolizing his angel side.) Powers: Increased strength, agility and resistant to most mortal weapons as well as fast healing. "Scythe of Justice" (tweaking with the weapon still) which allows him to decide if a human is good or bad. It also can show the mortal what their life would be like if they made certain choices, or can immediately send someone to hell. It can strip an Angel's powers from them temporarily. It can also banish Demons to the lowest part of hell, until they are released by the Devil. I should also add, that he is the only being capable of wielding the weapon, as he has both Angel and Demon powers. Increased senses, and can sometimes see into the future. Also magic, including control over the weather and elements. Ability to heal someone/thing, as well as the ability to kill someone/thing using his breath or touch. Problems: He is the deciding factor in the war, as he has both sides' powers. As such he could obliterate everything out of existence, starting by causing the apocalypse, or beat back evil entities and keep balance between hate and love. Both sides vie for his attentions, and he is led to believe he is helping the 'good side' but constantly questions their motives (for good reason.) He also has teenage problems to deal with such as impregnating his long time girlfriend, bullies at school, abusive family life and teachers who believe he is a lost cause. He often sees unjust cruelty in his life, and questions whether mankind is worth saving.

Well, I had to test it on someone, right? I had planned to transfer as much pain and fear as I could into him. Haven't mastered that yet. No matter the cruelty of the world, I actually have the power to make a difference. My biggest hope is to make this a world safe enough for my baby to grow up in. I must save everything for it. My biggest fear is failing. What if I cause the apocalypse and my baby has to endure it because of me? I couldn't live with myself. 5. Man, you'd think that having all these powers you could do whatever you want. But it's so much more work. 6. Are you at any type of risk of being sent to hell yourself? If so, how and why? Yes, and no. I have been there many times, mostly for "business." The devil can also bring me to hell on his whim, as I am a Demon. He mostly just talks to me. He's actually kinda funny. Whenever I send a human to hell, I must go there to decide if I am going to balance out things. I do not know why I go to hell and not heaven. Honestly I'm still trying to figure out what my role is and what exactly I can do. Apparently holy water can singe me but I do not know what will happen if I "die." Demons are sent to hell until they are released back to earth. Angels go to Heaven. No one has told me what happens to me. *shrugs apathetically*

Do you trust your boss? *Jason trusts no one except for Trinity. and even then it's only because they have known one another for 20 + yrs. 1B. Or do you have any suspicions toward him, any reason to suspect he might have landed you in a sketchy situation on purpose? *No Keary would never place someone in danger on purpose but hes a dolt, a self serving moran who acts first and thinks later with way too much cash on hand. 2. Just because they're from a paranoid land, or do they have a concrete reason to suspect you? *They suspect everyone of trying to topple them simplely because they are uber paranoid (at least in my book.) I mean this is North Korean... 3A. How do you react to the various things that would follow next - interrogation, etc? *When he comes to after the crash his military traing takes over, he manages to escape into the jungle for a while but injured and suffreing from lack of sleep,food, and eating willow bark to treat the pain this along with the strange apparance of Brian causes him to make an unknowing mistake. He eventualy gets caught just before the border. 3B. What is the most stressful? What thoughts are going through your head? *He thinks he is losing his mind as the ghost of Brian won't leave him alone, talking to him, walking by him, helping him through the jungle all with a hole in his chest, that Jason watched get put there. (Brian is a ghost from the Korean conflict.) He also thinks that if Trinity can't find a way to help him out he will die there. 3C. Do you plot to escape? *He does plan on escaping but he also has a back up plan just in case, always the boyscout he made sure the flight plans were with the MC Trinity. Who will try to make a deal with the 'devil' to save him, this will also bring her to accept her own Powers in the end. ^Although I have yet to figure out how exactly. 4A. Well I need help in all areas of developement...sorry I didn't give any specifics but these questions do help a lot. Thank you very much Lost_in_Thought/Evanay: I'm only 15 myself, but there does seem to be less pressure at the age of 12. No cares if you have a boyfriend or not, No one cares (well sometimes they do) about what you wear. There is also less work, you don't have to get a job. You can just hang out with your friends. Its also easier to have friend at this age because as young preteens you less judgemental and your intresses are still simular and haven't changed, like your friends like playing soccer and thats fine, but lets say in a few yearssome of them start getting into crack or something and you deside you can't be friends with someone who does that. But for my character there will be a lot less freedom and joys at her age and won't be able to enjoy this time of her life...but as she becomes older in the story she does feel more pressure to do better. You can't control your life at this age your forced by your parents to go to a certant school, and sometimes have certant friends. My character would feel this more then preteens of this world because shes always being forced to do stuff that she feels is not right. 12-13 years old is a time of big change. Most girls including my mc are emotional at this time and you thought seem blured and confused and sometime you don't know what to think. She would do anything for her best friend so she would look for another way. She believes that her best friend has saved her life too many times so my mc wants to repay her, not use her for her own advantages. But if her best friend bagged enough Nayon would break and let her friend take her place, but only to say that she would find a way on the outside to free her. At first my mc would break into tears. She would confront her parents and yell at them and constantly yell, if they get the witch or attack her she would fight back, even if it means killing her parents. She would regret it later for the rest of her life At first Nayon would try to find a way to stop him, but if all else fail and she had to kill him, she would find the most painless way to kill him. She would feel sorry all her life and might even hang herself because she could't stand living with guilt anymore (but of course her best friend would stop her in the nick of time) Thank you again.

I need help to devlop one of my character Jimmy Thorne. Well he is a detective who is calm and stright to the point. He works with Riley Sharpton, whom is a hot head in the police force and he has no way of controlling him. Jimmy want to catch this serial killer, who is on the loose. Jimmy, 1. What irritates you most about your partner's habits? 2. What's the hardest case you've ever been on? 3. If you were unable to become a cop, what other profession would you have chosen and why? 4. Are you an athlete or a doughnut muncher? 5. Do you drink coffee? If so black or with cream? 6. Are you in a relationship right now? If so, how is it going? (I've asked your character these questions because it seems you need to personally get to know him a bit better.. I hope they help.)
I have a new character for my story and I do get what her personality is about, but I just want to set the steel bar on one last time. Name: Saya Modako Age: 16 Occupation: High School Student (To be specific, she's a senior) Primary Goal/Motivation: To try to get through her school life as she is an outcast at her new academy and that she is trying to search the answer to her "cursed mark" she had recieve by the goddess of Volran (the story's setting). Fear: She deathly fears the death of her friends and/or her family. Extra: She is the only child in her family, which only consist of her parents. She doesn't seem to be very popular and tends to get picked on by bullies and "popular" girls. Thanks for helping me again!

Carrying on with my previous question, here are a few sceanrios. How does Saya deal with them? a. A new boy arrives at school. He's nice, smart, and Saya finds him attractive. He has yet to settle into a particular group of kids. Does Saya approach him? What does she do/say? What if she sees him being bullied? b. While attending a religious ceremony appropriate for her setting (presumably dedicated to Volran?) the officiator/priest/Sunday School teacher spots her curse mark. What does she do, how does she explain it? What questions, if any, does she ask? c. She's out to dinner with her family. The waiter screws up her order, bringing something that personally disgusts/preparing the food in the wrong manner, which makes her feel ill. How does she react? d. Her parents spot the curse mark. They start asking questions. 3. What are Saya's plans after highschool? What preparation is she undertaking to achieve this- is she looking up colleges, visiting campuses with her parents, does she have a line of work in mind? 4. Her parents hit a hard spell financially. They need Saya to take on a part time job. What type of work does she look for? How would a typical shift go? 5. How, in her own words, would Saya describe the curse mark? Does she know anything about it or how it came about? 6. It's an open weekend, the weather is nice, and Saya has some money (presumably from her part time job in 4 ) what does she do? What does she want to do- and if it's not the same thing as what she does, why the difference?
Those were all great questions for Saya. I'd like to add a couple more: -- As an only child, do you feel any pressure from your parents to live out all of their dreams? Be everything they couldn't, give them lots of grandkids, etc because there are no other siblings to do it? Whether or not you feel such pressure, have your parents ever tried to place it on you? If so, how do you react? If not, how would you if they did? -- Suddenly, the popular girls who are usually mean want you to join them in something you find extremely odd (not necessarily odd that they're doing it, but odd that they want you involved). You aren't sure if they're trying to make up amends or just trying to set you up, but you have a nagging suspicion it's the latter. What is it they want you to do, and how do you react? Do you do it, say no, or do it but with an ulterior motive or secret plan in mind? And don't just say "They want me to do their homework and I say hell no." Put more thought in.
