You can indeed touch them, and they can do so likewise. All have minds. Some are capable of intelligent thought, others are not.

I know, but I think it would have been funnier if he said he did it on purpose. I was doing it for fun reasons. Not to be a smart pain in the rear end or because I wanted to seem smarter. I make a whole crud load of typos everyday. So we all float in the same boat.
Youguys. Did we totally lose ourselves here? I thought they were just flying things that were just torsos and could multiply... where did this mouth come from, how are you seeing this so called 'energy' from the other side of the room, that I so called have to take it out on, in which why would we get me, the only one with a power that's pretty much useless unless you want to nag them to death by thought?

Feeling the energy. From what I have read about the supernatural and spirits. They release energy and you can see it through fog. Or the complete darkness can be part of the energy. Or you can just feel it. Also from what I had interpreted its on the walls. Therefore its connected the walls, therefore it has a body and its not just random flying things. @Shadow: I had interpreted it a giant living spiritual mass on the walls of the school. So its living in the walls.
That's not how I got it at all. I thought it was just going through the walls... Oh well. Anyway. Yeah. I just turned on the wrong nozzle on the stove, and instead of starting the oven for my baking I turned on a burner, that at that moment hard red pepper on it. Which is now in the house, and everytime I leave my room and get an awful burning sensation in my throat and lungs. I'm beautiful with my stupidity, right? Hmm. Well. So, one of them 'being the source' Would I be able to tell by their thoughts, because. Since this started I've been saying their thoughts are jumbled and such because I wasn't sure what else to say.
