Xeno is depressed and Leaka had a friend order pizza on his card and won't pay him back..oh and Emily is "content" I think that sums it up
Dave is correct here. When it comes to disputing charges there are some standard questions they always ask: 1) Have you done business with the purveyor of services/goods in the past? 2) Did you voluntarily agree to a transaction with them which you are now disputing? 3) Did you receive the goods/services that were being offered? The more yeses to the questions you give, the lower your chances of getting a happy resolution.
I've only ever been to centerville once, but it was when I was too young to remember. Though, my mother tells me there was a rather unfortunate incident when my dad gave me apple cider and my bowels didn't take to well to it. Had to get a new stroller. haha Oh my. Sounds like a bad day around here.
My day was okay, but Centreville as a whole is not a good place to work unless you can get into one of the cliques.
I just finished reading back a few pages and I've become incredibly curious about the 'gross' picture they're talking about. What was it?
hello everyone. I'm tired, cranky and... I'm having a fat day. I've grown out of 99% of my clothing now, and I feel like I am 6/7 months pregnant, rather than only 4 months...
The disgusting part of me wants to see whatever image plagued our boards, but another part of me wonders how sick to my stomach it would make me. Sorry about your fat day, Tor. At least you have a legitimate reason though! I have fat days every day, and I'm not eating for two.
thanks Emily and Cogito and Merc. I think I'm just over tired and will be in a better mood tomorrow once I've had a decent nights sleep. Gotta love pregnancy hormones... ><
So I was listening to a Scientific American Podcast on my iPod last night. Did you know that the left brain, in its need to interpret, will sometimes make up stories even when it doesnt have any information? Uni of Cali (Santa Barbara) did a study on this --researchers stimulated the right brain with something humourous and the person laughed. The left brain, unbeknownst to what was funny (because nothing was funny; a stimulant made the subjects laugh) made up stories. The left brain also hosts the speech center, so when the researcher conducting the expirament asked, "Why are you laughing?" subjects said something typically along the lines of "You're so funny!" They did the same thing only the stimulant was to make the subject angry and the result was the same. When experimentors asked why they were upset, subjects said that it was the the experimentors' fault! I find this very interesting for myriad reasons. Not only am I a psych nerd in general, but I'm writing a story about how sometimes people will go to great lengths to lie in order to hide their secrets or habits. I love this stuff. I also found it interesting that the left brain would make up stories. Although the explanations in the experiment were obviously very basic and unimaginative, the right brain is usually the more creative half, right? Just thought I'd bring up an interesting topic.
Same here. I miss everything when I have to go to work. And Merc, that's very interesting! It made me laugh, picturing the left side of my brain trying to scramble for an explanation about why the right side of my brain was entertained.
