This is gonna take a minute to explain: I go to two different churches. One with my parents, one on my own. But I can't drive. And my parents don't approve of the other church, therefore, they won't drive me. Tonight I was talking to a lady from the other church (lakeside), and she mentioned that she lived pretty close to my house, and told me she'd drive me whenever I needed it.
Awesome! Its alwasy great when the world reaches out to help a person. I'm glad you can go to the chuch of your choosing. Do you not like the one you attend with your parents?
You beat me. I was going to ask the same thing. Cool that you found someone who will give you a ride, by the way. That's very nice of her!
There are essentially two different sides of my brain: The Rational Side: Needs reasons for things and likes order and structure. The Emotional/Spiritual Side: Just wants to let things happen. My first church (methodist), feeds my rational side. My second church (Lakeside) feeds my emotional/spiritual side.
That's what I do. But it went from me exploring religion without church to just plain me not going to church pretty quickly...
How is everyone this average Monday evening? ...Or Tuesday morning I guess, depending on where you are.
You could make your faith work with your two brains without having to go to two churches. @Unsavory: I'm good this Monday evening. How are you?
Hanging in there I suppose. Working at the front desk at a hotel and trying to get over an episode with a disgruntled guest.
What happened? I hate dealing with disgruntled customers...sometimes it seems like no matter what you try to do, they just want to be mad at you.
Leaka: I could. But. I can't. To be quite honest, I probably won't stay in the Methodist church. But I have to go. So, I'll be here til I'm 18.
Ah, there's nothing like the general public eh? Sucks broseph. Just remember, the general public doesn't (Insert special thing that sets you apart from others)
Emily, that is neat that you can address each portion of your mind like that. My hindbrain is devious and rarely speaks to the conscious (front) brain. Unsavory, I suggest a punch to the jaw.
It was kind of lame, and the anger was directed right at me which is hard. Basically some guy who uses a wheelchair was trapped in his car and indicated this by flashing his lights and honking his horn in a way that looked and sounded just like a car alarm. Car alarm incidents happen all the time, so this wasn't something I rushed to check out. And since it's dark I couldn't actually see that someone was trapped. It only lasted 10 seconds, but he still managed to be pissed off.
