It's probably wrong that I'm actually drooling at the prospect of deep-friend confectionery. It may just be that I'm hungry enough to eat a small battered whale, though.

It is kinda funny...Recently I have had candy and ice cream and cake..and felt icky afterward. What I have been craving for almost two months now is fruit.

I get mad veggie cravings every once in a blue. I mean like second trimester cravings! Especially for asparagus. When I want asparagus, I'm cruzing all the supermarkets looking for fresh.

I'm the same way about asparagus. It grew wild in my yard growing up so I'm used to being able to simply walk outside and grab a few stalks. People were always stopping and asking if they could have some.

    No such luck now. :(

    I  Asparagus. ;)

I'm a really picky eater, so around Thanksgiving (in America) when everyone piles their plates high with turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, rolls, pumpkin pie, etc --I've just got one huge plate of asparagus with peppers. No one else in my family likes asparagus... so I get the whole dish to myself. :p

I wish I knew how to garden. I would love to just walk out into my own fruit and vegetable garden. But I haven't a green thumb, and every plant I touch, dies.

Asparagus is the Queen of Vegetables. I don't even care that it makes your urine stinky. I like to start with young asparagus, and snap off the tough ends before steaming it with water and lemon juice. When I'm in a really decadent mood, I top it with some Hollandaise sauce.

    Love me some asparagus.

What I'm fanatic about is avocado. I can eat an entire bowl of guacamole in one sitting. But I also love avocado on my sandwiches, or in salads or quesadillas.

I tried growing a tree--probably a futile effort in the first place, because I'm told they take at least ten years to bear edible fruit--but my Gran threw it away while I was on vacation.

Projectile vomit splatters the computer screen.

That's actually pretty much the only vegetable I don't like.

Really? It has a pretty mild taste, and pretty much takes on the flavor of whatever you put it with. I don't know what's not to like.

It's because it's green and squishy, isn't it? I used to be leery of avocado because I didn't like the texture. But I got over that in my late teens.

I think texture does have quite a bit to do with it. I probably wouldn't mind it as much if it didn't taste so...bland?

I like squishy stuff. And green stuff.

Depends on leftover what. Of course, the better the food, the less likely I am to HAVE leftovers. :D

I've personally never been a big fan of leftover spaghetti, though I know lots of people love it.

Spaghetti sauce is always better the second day.

My X Stephen was all about the leftover spaghetti. I knew him to make spaghetti, not eat it that night, but wait until the next day once the noodles had soaked up the sauce juice. (his words, sauce juice, not mine)

I had leftover spaghetti for lunch. It wasn't as good as the first day, but it was ok. I need to start eating leftovers more. The poorer I get...the more money I need to save on food.

I don't put the pasta into the sauce. I serve the pasta on the plate and top it with sauce. I usually cook the pasta fresh for each meal. Nobody except Chef Boyardee likes pasta turning to mush in the sauce.

That's a good idea. I usually keep them apart as well, but I never thought about simply making the noodles fresh each time.

    Hi everybody I'm home now.
I think I may have a sandwich for lunch.
Mmmm, turkey, bacon, and peppers with extra mustard.
