Really...I never noticed. @Kanga67: Yeah just don't swim even if it is hot and muggy and humid. Sweat it out.
You know me better than I thought. Also- I just watched that fish thing on the discovery channel too!
HA. No, sadly. I have this weird thing with writing stories about stories in the Bible. This one is about the guy who had to take Jesus off the cross, and the incredibly lucky things that happened afterward.
I've got two. The dark half of a yin yang on my left hip and a small orange sun on my right ankle. I really want to get one of a phoenix either with music notes in the flames or a musical staff behind it, but to do that, I have to draw it first...and I'm not a great artist, so I keep putting it off. I love tattoos, though. People have very interesting tattoos sometimes.
I like tattoos when they're really special and well worked out. But if I would ever get a tattoo it would be something small on my ankle or so...
There's a lot of tattoo artists out there who will do custom designs. If you go to a parlor and give the artist an idea of what you want, they can draw up a design for you and give you an estimate of the cost. I visited a tattoo shop in Memphis where the artist exclusively does custom work. By his own admission, if you walk in there with a doodle on a piece of paper, saying, "I want this," he'll escort you right back out.
I've always been interested in body art. "The body is a temple, blah blah blah." --Yes. Which is why I'm adorning it. I'm not 'allowed' to get one yet, as I'm not yet eighteen and my parents are those people who think that tattoos are reserved for 'easy women and truckers,' but I've got a few planned out. I wont be going out on my birthday to get a tattoo though. I've seen a lot of my friends and relatives make that stupid move. I'm worried that I'll change my mind about how cool it is or about what I want (my latest design has already been scratched) after the ink has set. I dont know what's important enough for me that I want it inked on my body just yet. I know where I'll go though. Like you, Mal, we have a little shop here in the capital, and they dont do anyone under eighteen, piercings or tattoos, and they wont do either if they dont like you. Most of the staff has been practicing for +20 years, so you generally know you're in good hands.
I want a tattoo, but I've absolutely no idea what I would want to get. Probably something swordy... Or maybe musical.
I keep wondering about getting a tattoo on my left knee, saying 'do not bend'. All that's stopped me has been the fact the joke may wear thin after a couple of weeks.
I like the idea of a tattoo, but I'm not sure I'd ever be keen enough on an idea to want it permanently. It'd have to be something special and meaningful...
I'm the same way. Both my tattoos mean something really special to me, and they're both really small. If I get the phoenix tattoo, it'll be pretty small, too. And I get them somewhere that I can cover them up if I need to. I need to find a better tattoo place here in AZ. Both times that I've gone in for my tattoos, they made me draw the tattoo that I want. If I try to just describe it or bring in a sketch to give them an idea of what to do, they won't do anything.
I'm going to Six Flags!!! Then, the next day, I'm joining the Methodist church, and then leaving for church camp with a different church. Lol.
Cool. I must once again become Titania Queen of the Fairies...last weekend. I also have a scrapbook to make.
That sounds gross. I'm not big on crafts. Side note: There needs to be a big comfy bed in the back of the Chatbox. I'm tired, and want to go back to bed. This is what I get for going to bed at 5am.
