Oh, I most likely am. I don't mind. I dno't buy overpriced books either. I rarely go over 20 dollars for one book. And I am very willing to give up space for books. lol. It's all good. I stay within my budget most of the time.
I made an avatar...it is strange that it isn't a picture taken of myself. It is cartoon me...but not me me.
I like everybody's myspace buddies! They're cute. Mmmm Joel and I just ordered pizza before he had to go back to work, and now I'm full of cheesy deliciousness. And now I'm fighting the urge to go book shopping.
sooooo, 113 degrees here today... 30 minute drive home in a car with no air conditioner.... This is going to be fuuuuuuuun [/sarcasm]
Holy crap, that sucks. I totally feel for you, though I'm not sure I've ever driven a car with no air at 113. Low hundreds, but not that high. You're making me sweat already.
yeah, drove it two days this week already, and I'm drenched in sweat by the time I get home. But, like everyone says, it's not the heat that's so bad, it's the humidity!
It's warm here too but... hold on a second, how much is 113 Fahrenheit in Celcius?... let's check... Oh, okay. That's hot. I'll never complain about the temperture over here...
I actually enjoyed triple-digit temps in Arizona a few years ago. Dry makes a HUGE difference. I just made sure I had no shortage of fluids with me, and lots of sunscreen.
mephisto - are you taking all our downpours?! give them back! i remember those college days, wading to class. haha~ cogito - dry does make a huge difference! my sis is living in new mexico right now, and while it has broken her sunglasses (too dry?), she says dry is better too. we have 'air too wet to breath' humidity hehe
You know, a lot of people in Arizona do the whole "but it's a DRY heat!" mockery thing like they don't believe it makes a difference, but it really does. I would rather be in triple digit heat with no humidity than be in triple digit heat with muggy air all around me any day. Humidity is the worst.
Agreed. I think humidity is worse too. It's much more...oppressive? I can't tell you the last time we had dry heat either. If it's hot here, then it's generally humid too.
I had a lovely picnic outside today. The weather was lovely. It is a little warm now...but nothing like 113...it like 90.
We're in (I think) the 90's right now. To a Canadian, that is HOT, especially when it comes so suddenly, like it did this year.
My cousins live in Wyoming, and I hear the same from them. One of my cousins wrote me a letter once and said something along the lines of "it's ridiculously hot here! It got to like 93 yesterday!" I read this letter on a day when the high here in AZ was supposed to be like 120.
