Life is hot. Just rained, and it was already in the 30's before that. Humidity sucks.

Ha, there's an NFL team called the Saints.

    We could also watch Slamball:

(If you've never heard of it before, it's like full contact basketball with four trampolines built into the court around each basket. It's quite fun to watch.)

*Rumpole tries to remember the formula to convert celsius to farenheit.*

Lets see, first you multiply, then add ..... ummm .... carry the 16 .... and you get - damn hot!

Lol, I've heard of it, but never seen it. It sounds awesome, though. :D

I wish slam poetry followed the same lines. :D

Just remember that the boiling point is 100, freezing is 0, and the human body is 38.

I'm attempting to write a rather morbid short story since I don't feel like working on my long story. I dunno how to explain what it's about without making it sound really bad though. My friend helped me come up with the idea.

And I agree, humidity does suck! I love the heat, but the humidity kills me. It feels like I'm walking in dog slobber or something. D:

And that basketball with the trampolines sounds fun! I wouldn't play ti though, haha. XD

Your call. I am currently writing an article about T'ai Chi defensive stances and a short story about demons pretending to be aliens. I bet your idea can't sound lamer than my second.

I like the fact that your short story is pretty much the opposite of what must have been done many a time before, i.e. Aliens pretending to be Demons. :D

    Good luck with it. :)

Thanks, the finished product will probably never see the light of day, but it'll be fun just to do it.

Nothing's stupid if it's written well. :) Just look at Terry Pratchet. :D

LOL! HaHaHaHa ..... or a certain vampire novelist. (Actually she kinda fails the well written part.)

That sound's so cool though! :p It sounds like it'd be amusing. I want to read it, and I normally don't read anything that has to do with the sci-fi realm.

My short story is supposed to be about this 16/17 year old boy who gets murdered. His murderer thinks that he's actually helping him by murdering him though. Because in his murderer's eyes, death is more humane than what he *thinks* the kid has to go through everyday.

    I dunno, it's a very weird idea.

My long story has to do with these three people, Morgan, Kadin, and Ryder. They each have their own problems, but I want to kind of portray the hurt and love that people go through with each other. For example, Kadin's anorexia hurts his sister, causing her to develop problems of her own, but she hides them so she doesn't worry her brother. While Kadin hides his own problems as to not worry his sister.

Ryder is kind of the link that helps the both of them 'heal', despite his own issues.

yeah I dunno. o.o; They're both very new ideas, so they're still being worked on. XD Trying to cover up my gaping plot holes and what not.

    - I bet it's not as stupid as you think it is! I think my ideas are stupid all the time, but everyone really likes them for some reason. x_x; We're our own worst critic! :p

Kaci - just write it down. Worry about the holes after the story is finished. Teh first draft is all about having a piece of clay to mold.

EDIT: Thanks for the vote of confidence BTW.

Xe - There have been many female novelists who wrote about vampires. How do you know I was ... *uncontrollable laughter*

I actually only read one book of him (A hat filled with air, I think atleast that's what it's called in English) and I started reading The Colour of Magic, but never finished it cos I thought it was too boring...
But I am planning on reading 'Thud'.

Edit: Oh no, I just remember I also read another one... Don't know how it's called in English, though. Something with a cat.
