Hey. I may be old, but that doesn't mean I'm not fierce.

Check newegg.com. With my old laptop, I had the same issue, and I found a cord much cheaper there than it was anywhere else.

    Thanks for the tip, Hidden.

So, what's everyone got planned for today?

Oooo, I found one for 20 bucks on that website. Though, that makes me a little wary because normally they're at the very least 90 in stores... :S

You're welcome. I hope you can find a new adapter at a reasonable price.

Rumpole, I envy you. I'm reading through paperwork for work, trying to figure out everything I need to get done today, and in roughly an hour and a half, I will be going to work to attempt to actually do those things while at the same time helping the endless flow of customers and running up to register every five minutes to backup cashier.

I was wary when I bought my adapter there, too, but I've never had a problem with anything I bought from the site. I bought my new laptop there for a couple hundred dollars cheaper than in stores, I've gotten X-box 360 stuff for my brother and brother-in-law for way less than in stores, and Joel buys a lot of his computer stuff there.

You can complain to me, Rum. I get to sit at home and do nothing for the next 26 hours. :)

Might get some writing done actually.

Should I point out I've been doing almost nothing for a month now? Teacher, summer vacation.

Where did we get all these frames????? (YEah, they all go up today.)

Complain all you want. I just can't promise much sympathy. :p

Nah, kidding. Honestly, I like the hectic-ness of work for the most part. It just stinks because I'm supposed to be getting trained on manager stuff, but we're so busy right now that no one has time for that.

That makes me feel better for now. Tonight, when I'm still at work and you've been home for a few hours, though...

I like working earlier in the day, but my store manager likes to make me close when he knows the store will be a mess because I straighten better than anyone else at the store. Personally, I think he should just hold other people accountable for their terrible straightening job and get them to do it better rather than making me close every night...

My hours have dropped significantly at work (from 35 to 16) so I feel like I've been sitting at home doing nothing for a couple weeks now. I'm so unmotivated. I haven't even been reading. Mostly watching Hannah Montana (yes, I am ashamed) and Wizards of Waverly Place (I don't care what you say, this is an awesome show!). I needs me a second job. Gotta get my resume done up so I can put it in over at the Comfort Inn. I need to get some experience in Hospitality so that when I move to Toronto the big hotels will hire me. :)

I always wanted to work at a hotel.

But I've always wanted to work at a lot of people...so maybe that isn't saying much.

I love the idea of running a hotel. I really want to get the job there. Even just as a maid for now. I can move up later on.

Essentially, that's exactly what I want to do. Eventually, I want to actually own a hotel, if not an entire chain. I can't say I would mind being Hilton rich.haha

Hahaha, don't worry. I'll always remember the little people. ;)

Not to mention, being around so many different types of people on a regular basis will definitely give me material for my writing.

Ha I definitely wouldn't complain about that, either.

That really does sound like a cool thing to do. I always wanted to open a movie theater...could stem from the fact that my first job was at one.

Oh man, a movie theatre would be awesome! I've always wanted to work at one, but I live in a small town that doesn't have one and I don't have a license or a car to get to the next town. -sigh-

It was messy and crazy a lot of the time, but I have to admit, I loved every minute of it. :)

*cries* my manager just called. Originally, I was supposed to work 11-7 yesterday and today. Sunday, he asked me to come in 12-8 both days. Last night, I stayed half an hour late to help out, but I guess they got slammed after I left. He just called to see if I could come in 1-9 today instead. Which means I'll likely end up staying until much later to help close. Wouldn't be such a big deal, except I've been closing for the past week and a half, while Joel has been working early in the morning, which means I've barely seen him. :(

That sucks. I know how much conflicting schedules with the boy can suck. Me and mine have the same problem lately.

    Where do you work?

Office Max. So back to school season is like Christmas without the cheer and hot chocolate.

I'll survive, I suppose. I've got a day off on Thursday, and I'm planning a surprise for Joel, so at least I've got that to look forward to.
