It just got funny here, in the United States. Worldwide, who knows if it's funny? Not me.

 

There were so many gone. Handfulls of them, I spent hours pieceing it back together and that is as far as I have gotten with it.

I know I'm violent with my laptop, but heck! She went nuts on it!

My poor laptop has a MAJOR boo boo!

<sniff sniff>

Amity...<cries> woke up just before 4 am and I put her back to bed. She wanted a warm drink of milk. Bless her.
Well after that I went back to bed and crashed. I was out like a light. I was so exhausted. Well next thing I know she is sitting on my stomach bouncing up and down. It had been 1o minutes exactly....I looked at my clock.
Next thing I see little grey buttons in her hands and she giggles evilly and begins to run off. I got her and opened her hands and my eyes filled with tears. I simply took the keys from her, looked at my laptop and burst into tears. I was exhausted, and it was the last thing I needed at the moment.
90% of the keys were gone. They were all over the place. I found all expcept for the button between the space bar and the windows key.
I got most back on but that one section is mutilated to the point where it has to go to a technician to be fixed...hopefully.
I took Amity over to my laptop, sat her on my lap and told her calmly that what she had done was very wrong and she knows she isn't to touch it when mommy isn't around. She then came back with "I wanted to talk to Dan. Where's Dan? I want my Dan!" It was cute, then she hugged me said sorry and that was the end of it all really.

 

Did she get in trouble for that?

 

i would say that is a cute bed time story, even though its 1015 where i am

 

She was told what she did was wrong. Her punishment for it is that she misses out on talking to Dan for one week on msn. For her, that is the harshest punishment in the world!

 

kids nowadays use msn. what a world

 

yeah Video calls. THey used to on Skype with my friends children who were in Sydney and with my friend when she lived up North. Now just to talk to my BF when he is online and they are awake.

 

wow talk about communication. i remember the days you wanted to talk to someone, it was either a phone call or a letter, the latter was more popular where i lived.

 

well letter writing I'm hopeless at and I always forget to post the letters, and phone calls over seas aren't cheap.

 

true. im not sure people actually post letters anymore. last time i did that it was like 2002. and that was because i was out at a boarding school where only 5 computers had internet for a student body of 500.

 

last letter I wrote was to a dear life long friend of miine just before christmas last year while she was away for a while. Otherwise I don't write letters if I can help it cause I always forget to post them

It finally stopped snowing. Isn't that great?

 

My little boy used to take the keys off the keyboard too. Couldn't seem to stop him. Ended up replacing one when we couldn't find all the function keys (I suspect he topped up on his plastic vitamins)

I had a portable typewriter (yes I am that old) and the keys would pop off if I hit them on an angle. very annoying.
