I just finished Child of God on Sunday. It has McCarthys beautiful language and details. It's also rather uncomfortable to read even for me lol it's a great book though. Disturbing,perverse and meloncally. Also it's sad and it made feel sorry for a character who engages in disgusting and revolting acts. It does deal with necrophilia and has a scene of depraved incest that was among the most disturbing things I have ever read. But if you like The Road or Blood Meridian you will like Child of God. It's a short read at 196 pages
