    Christmas Tree

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by Heather Louise, Dec 3, 2007.

What type of tree have you got? What colours are on it? Have you got any lights outside? Anything like that, tell us about your tree.

We have a real tree which is huge and I named her Carol. She is 15 and a lovely tree (I have grown very attached to this one). The decorations are red, black and silver and an angel sits on top. We also have a garland and some wrethy thing hanging on the kitchen door. I have my own mini tree in my room. It is 3ft and black and have fluffy pink lights, pink and silver beads and pink and silver baubles. A right little barbie tree. :D

    What about you??

    Heather

This year, I have a 2-foot plastic, tabletop tree that I bought on clearance last year for $5. This is because I am moving to Russia in 2 weeks; my decorations are all packed away, and on top of all the sorting, packing and visa applications, I cannot deal with a real Christmas tree this year.

    So.

My kids made decorations for our mini-tree out of tin foil and ribbon, and we strung popcorn garlands for her, and she's looking very glam.

Guess who won't be sweeping up balsam needles from the floor, in 2008? **happy dance**

I highly recommend the 2-foot, plastic, table-top version with popcorn garland. All the Festivity with None of the Mess.

    What could be better?

That is not a bad idea considering I've got two kids.

No Christmas tree. No room, no kids, no need.

    I'm in the holiday spirit aren't I?

I just found out we have one but I don't want to put it up.
My children will only pull it down again and make a mess with it.

And Dom I have never met anyone with as much christmas spirit as me until now.

Well I usually have Christmas spirit, but that's mainly when around family. Right now since I'm not near them, the only thing I want to do at Christmas is meet up with my girlfriend and really get to know her.

We don't have ours up yet. Just going to be the random plastic thing.

If I had kids that are old enough, I would get some carboard and old christmas cards or new ones and make decorations. Cardboard/ paper chains, Cut out the christmas card pictures, cover with glitter and hang them up with tisel. I had fun doing that when I was a kid

We used to do that sort of thing when we were little. It was fun cause we did it as a family and it really added to the christmas spirit. Oh to be that young again :p

woman, you are neglecting your kiddies :p nah, I love having a Christmas tree, it makes it feel all warm and stuff. You want to see how far some people go with the decorations mind, bright lights everywhere.

    Lmao good on 'em Hulls.

We have a tree... there are different types?? Erm... its green?? Its not a real one. It has baubles and tinsel on it but I don't know what colour... I didn't look very much. It's in the living room.

We have a fibre optic one in the dining room aswell and that's pretty.

Oh and mum made a nice decoration for the dining room table, its almost like a goldfish bowl with red pot pouri and white lights in it. It looks prettier than it sounds.

Other than that we have a few lil christmassy bits.

When i was little we really used to go over board with decorations inside, but not any more. We've never bothered with lights outside.

Don't have real trees. 2 people are allergic to pine.
We usually put up a big artificial one but with Dom not here and the possibility of his brother and family coming NOT. I think we will just use the little table top one again.
3 cats and baubles not a great mix.
Someone mentioned packing Dom up in a crate and mailing him home. Please do so. Although for a 1.5 kg. parcel it was $58. so that might be a very expensive pack. 200lbs would be yikes.
Christmas without children be they big or small is just not christmas.
like Amy said in little women. Christmas won't be Christmas without any presents. well I will just change it to Christmas won't be Christmas without any children.
    Forgot this.
Daniel James do not get to know your girlfriend too well.
    Seans are nice.

I was wondering when someone would pick up on that. I was hoping it wouldn't be my Mom though.
