I usually have no clue as to what's going on in threads like this, but I love it anyway.

I sometimes enjoy hunting for "country manor homes" for sale in England and Scotland to see how much I can buy with the £10,000,000 I don't have.

 

I have absolutely done the same thing....minus the across the pond thingie.

 

I'd buy it only if that exact flag and the car come with it, of course.

Confession: I haven't been writing anything. None at all, for the past....I don't even know. Could look up my second draft to see, but I'm too lazy right now.

It's not writers "stop and wait" but something more....personal.

Guess I'll see what happens in the coming weeks.

 

Same with me... I've written a poem here and there, but I haven't done my real writing in forever. I plan (hope) to begin writing on a regular basis again soon.

 

Don't let it mess up how you view yourself as a writer, don't let it be something that negates that definition. I was in the same spot for a very, very, very long time. I took a different direction and words have been spilling from my fingertips, but yeah, I was there too. First the hurricane followed by a failure to hit the start button and get my normal life back on track.

 

Thirded. I came up with a tiny addition to a scene almost three weeks ago (???) and haven't cracked open my WIP for two (???) weeks. I passed my one year anniversary for my WIP without even noticing it until I realized the other day that it had gone by a couple of weeks ago.

 

Confession: I've apparently become much better at drawing male bodies. Hands were my biggest problem for as long as I can remember, but now that I'm in my third decade, the hands still aren't perfect, but they at least look like the outline of hands to me. Now I'm practicing builds ranging from thin to muscular. I still wouldn't call myself an artist, since I seem to draw from once a month to once every three months.

 

How about the Jewels.

 

I don't think that I'm of the experience to do that. Maybe someday...They are little more than mannequins in underwear

 

I have recently acquired a shopping voucher that was sent to my flat in error. I intend to spend it myself.
