OK. How cool is this? I'm currently "attending" a meeting for work. But I'm at home. Our hospital just got this new thing where we can call in and they will patch us into the meetings. So there can be like 30 people in the actual room, and 20 people on the phone, and you can hear just fine! It's absolutely amazing! This totally just made my day.....
This kind of technology is what makes my job possible. I work as an interpreter by telepresence. Companies require interpreters all day, but we are both expensive to have on hand and not practical to have on hand on when the language for which we translate is not terribly common. The company for which I work patches me into different clients across the country and even across the globe who have need of my services. I work in my PJs every day. It rocks.
