The Ruins by Scott Smith-Anyone read?

I am currently reading The Ruins by Scott Smith.
I am not finished with it, so no spoilers anyone unless they are hidden away, but has anyone else read this book?
What did you think about it?
    Did you like it?

Personally, it is giving me a few chills now and there. I am on Pg 106 where the Greek is being burned by the evil vines.
This is giving me chills right about now.
And my mom had recently planted blooming pink flowers that grow on a vine.
What a predictatment when asked to water them.
What parts gave you the chills? (You can answer in spoiler tags or page numbers)

    Velocity, by Dean Koontz.

    It's pretty good so far.

I was asking if anyone else had read the Ruins so we can discuss it.

    V. - Thomas Pynchon.

I am about 200 pages in and already, it is one of the best novels I ever had the pleasure of reading. Ingenius, Witty, and very funny, this novel has it all.

    I'm loving it.

The thread heading says "Currently Reading," so I think people have stayed adequately on topic.

Currently I'm reading Wizard and Glass, the fourth book from the Dark Tower series, by Stephen King of course. Anyone else read these books? This one I am finding is the absolute hardest to get through. The fact that I have a girlfriend that I feel like I have to make sure doesn't feel neglected doesn't help as far as getting along on reading this book.

I got about halfway through the Gunslinger, and was utterly bored with it.

the gunslinger series can be really tough going. wizard and glass is one of the best in my opinion. the series goes a bit haywire around the sixth book and it gets increasingly difficult to keep up with the plot.

I'm reading a Feast for Crows, the fourth and latest book in A Song of Ice and Fire. It's not as good as the others, but maybe that's because it's about my least favorite characters. A book taking place at the same time with my favorite characters is being written now, and I think its coming out in September, maybe later.

I just finished 'Heat' by Bill Buford (terrific writer and former editor of Granta and The New Yorker). Took me a while to get through but it was well worth it. If I may be so bold as to suggest you check out my blog- I'll tell you why!

The post (first one up) is called 'If you can't stand the heat'

Let me know what you think/feel!

I had to read the first few chapters for school, Leaka...to be honest, I didn't much like it and it wasn't really my cup of tea.

Leaka, I don't think many of the posters have read your original post...lol
