Cyberpunk II 2786A.D. Las Vegas.

My vision had cleared up within a few hours and I was finally getting a little movement. A dull throb came and went where they had cut my busted foot off. The replacement had synthetic skin that was a close match to my own. The bone structure was nothing special I’d get a little extra speed if I could learn to co-ordinate it with my other foot. My side had been plated with metal and covered in the fake skin as well. The stitches looked ugly and when I moved you could see the abnormalities as the flesh glided over the metal plates.

“At least it wasn‘t your pretty little face…” I cut him off.

“You say a word about my breasts and your going down.”

He grinned and shook his head.

In total the gang consisted of two hundred and seventy five members all of them had debts or were the family member of somebody who died because of their debt. I wasn’t complaining, but I wasn’t happy about the situation. I had been spending a whole lot of time doing nothing and making it look like something. Now things would have to change. The gang had no name, they did however have a hotel owned and ran by the in dept. What was interesting was they were now making a lot of cash and refusing to pay the Yakuza back. The Yakuza didn’t even seem like a threat until I was informed that they were pulling in a lot of smaller gangs to chip away and the indebts numbers. It was hard to believe they had started out as five hundred strong.

“So,” Zeke interrupted my thoughts.

“These people need to be armed,” I mused. “How can you call these guys a gang with out the firepower to back it up. You need to generate more threat to. Get your name out there and make these people s*** themselves over you.”

“We‘ll go with weapons first,” Zeke said.

“I hope you‘ve got the contacts.”

He was laughing, “honey I know everything in this damn city.”

 

It is the middle of the night, as Fox and Spencer enter the city. The warehouse is other side of the city, but Fox decides to go throught the slums to get there. At night the slums seem deserted. After about a half hour of driving along empty roads, Fox takes the road up to the midsection, and stops infront of a building, guarded by quite a few of yakuza members. They raise their guns at her and Spencer. "We're here on behalf of Sasoru." They lower their guns, and one of them says "We were expecting you." The man hits an intercom button and tells Sasoru that his stuff is here. The door opens and out comes the small japanese man. "I knew I could depend on you. Here is your payment." They exchange the chips for the credits. The man says "By the way, our boss says she is impressed by how you took out those biker scum. She'll have more jobs for you if you are interested." Fox nods her head, and the man says "Good. Here is an address for the Blue Blood Inn, in the upper section of the city. So that way, we know where to look for you. A reservation has already been made for you two."

Fox takes off, and uses the road to climb higher up in the city. She soon spots a very large hotel. All of the vehicles parked in front appear to be rather expensive. "I guess this is where all of the rich visitors to town stay." Fox parks her bike and they go inside. The receptionist looks up and says "Ah, we were told to expect a girl with a tail. You must be Fox. Here is your room key. Its number 401 on the fourth floor." Fox nods and takes the steps up four floors. Right there on the left is her room. She goes in and takes off her armor. "Hey Spence, go ahead and make yourself comfortable. I'm goint to take a shower." She goes into the bathroom.

 

After some riding Fox turned off and went into the desert remembering she'd left something behind but couldn't remember what. after half an hour she was on a desert road climbig up on the bike and realised she hadn't forgotten anthing at all. and turned back but then heard the sound of bikes in the distance.


Pythola and her female fellow Bikers caught more of a glimpse of Fox in the distance and raced onwards towards him. Some of her bikers fired pulse shots in the air as way of warning.
She tilted her head letting the wind blow through her long ponytail at the top of her bold head. She had the rage in her thoughts and promised Fox she’d die. It wouldn’t take long before they caught up to the lonely bike.

 

Suddenly and what seems like mere seconds Pythola and the bikers charge up to Fox the road gets higher and higher but this is no deterrent to the female bikers. Pythola fires a plasma pistol. The shot slams into Spencer’s back forcing him from the bike. Another female biker passes his rolling body and harpoons him attaching the harpoon to the rear of her biker suddenly Spencer blacks out. The biker drags him through the desert dirt across the road.

Three more bikers surround her to ensure Spencer stays. Another harpoons his leg and before another minute passes Spencer is been dragged by two bikers now.

Fox doesn't dare look back and carries on up the road.

 

I sat up front with Zeke in the hover unit, pumped full of painkiller and not feeling a lot of anything. In the back four other members sat. They were some of the most important members of the gang.

There was lance a retired corporal who had a debt to the tune of two million dollars, he’d be able to tell us the quality of the weapons we were buying. I wasn’t much help there due to the fact I’d never really had to deal with heavy artillery before, just standards. Next to him sat Jolene, she was supposed to tough talk with me, her father had ran up the debt then committed suicide, it was her bill now. She also handled the money. Then there was an old man and that was his name. Nobody knew a lot about his debt, however he was an impressive barter and was like a walking calculator. It wasn’t the group I’d have picked, but Zeke liked them fine. Route 666 was quite, in the distance I could make out figures, bikes. As we got closer I could see women on bikes dragging a man towards the dessert. I looked to Zeke who looked back at me, he was sweating.

“Is this bad?” I asked him.

“Yeah this is bad, very bad. The b**** bikers tend to be a lot worse then the male ones,” Zeke replies.

“So what are we doing?” I ask.

“If your asking me to stop for help you‘ve got another thing coming. We‘ve got to go straight through, these girls won‘t mess about in making us bleed. Whoever the guy is he‘s probably dead.”

I nod my head and look towards the bikes. I don’t ever remember the gangs being this bad.

 

Fox turns the bike around and chases after the gangers. She pulls out her laser uzi and begins firing spray after spray of shots at them. He manages to hit the tires of a couple of them, and they crash, killing the riders. She speed up towards the one dragging Spencer.

 

One of the female bikers notices Suzu headed towards them with another biker. Pythola signals two bikers retreat back to rear them up.

Five minutes pass and they have reached Suzu and her male friend. One fires a shot gun aimed at Suzu.

 

Five more pull in onto Spencer cutting him loose and letting him stumble from the cliffs down into the ravine. They then head up towards Fox firing. Pythola fires her plasma pistol straight at Fox's face. The burn half hits melting the left side of her face. She howls in pain. Pythola backs up letting another take the lead this one fires a shot gun at her leg. The knee buckles and the bone shatters from the impact.

 

Suzu ducks down in the hover unit as the shot is fired, it shatters the windshield and I curse at the glass as it bites into my skin.

“Everyone okay?” Zeke asks. I can hear Jolene shouting I cautiously look up Lance is dead his brain splattered over the interior of the car. Jolene waists no time in opening the door of the hover unit and pushing his body out onto the road, in the review mirror I watch his body tumble like a rag doll.

“Now what,” Zeke shouts. I take out my pistol and aim towards the biker that shot at me. I return fire and pray to god that the painkillers haven’t affected my aim.

 

Fox's tail lifts up, holding the laser uzi, and fires around at everything that moves. Fox stays curled, hoping that her gun can make them back off.

 

The bikers close in on Fox raming into her bike tring to knock her from the road. If she falls with a broken knee she’s as good as dead and they keep coming up close.

Pythola backs up to Zeke and stabs him in the shoulder from the open window. Blood sprays from the wound with the gushing wind speed blood sprays the road behind. Pythola watches Suzu kill one of her bikers and howls. She rides up beside Suzu and smacks her in the face, the hover cars moves away slightly. A stray shot from Fox hits Another biker stumbles to be ran over by her own bike.

 

I’m given a little love tap by one of the bikers, good thing I’m drugged up to the eyeballs on painkillers or it would really have hurt. I know I’m going to feel it in the morning. Zeke’s bleeding to much I hate to admit it but I actually am worried for the poor guy. He’s swerving the car now I know he can’t help it, the pain makes it hard to concentrate, I lean over and hold the wheel, thinking of the trick Zeke played on me before. I’m going to ram these dumb w***** and crush them. I look in the revision mirror to check on the others in our group. They’re shaken up but okay. I’m fuming I want revenge on the idiot who killed our weapons expert. I line the car up with the bikers holding my pistol out the window and let Zeke control the hover units acceleration.

 

As the one bike goes by her, while she lays in the sand, her tail cuts into its back wheel. It goes out of control and crashes into another biker. Killing both. Fox looks up and sees, out of her good eye, that Pythola is fighting with another group. Fox stands, using her tail inplace of her leg when necessary. She stands up her bike and gets on. She takes off after Pythola, with her uzi in hand.

 

Pythola sees Fox’s neat trick and shoots her wheels from under her. The bike crashes into another killimng another of the gang. Flipped in the air Fox slams hard onto the bonnet of the flyer. Her tail smashes the windscreen accidently stabbing Zeke in the throat. Blood pours from his neck still alive he sterers the hover car and knocks Pythola over the cliff and from the road. Another biker shoots the hover car and a third biker shoots Fox in the shoulder. Fox reels in pain visions black spots before her eyes and realises she’s about to black out retracting her tail from Zekes throat slitting it worse nearly killing him by ripping his gullet clean blood covers an Angered and Bitterly vengeful Suzu, Fox slashes the Bikers tires forcing the bike down. The other bikers stop as two crash over and fall from the cliff side. The hover car zooms on leaving three bikers in their wake. Dust kicking up as they move.

An angered Suzu tries everything to keep a fatally wounded Zeke alive. Yet his pulse keeps on pumping blood from the massive rip in his throat caused by Fox.

 

Tears were stinging my eyes as I struggled to hold Zeke’s throat. ”Everyone okay?” I scream. No one is answering, the bullet spray from the bikers has killed the other two. I have to stop the car there isn’t any other choice. It’s my safety or his and right now every inch of me is screaming for him to be alright. I Stop the hover unit a turn to my side, the synthetic skin. I tear it back screaming as I do, its melded well with my own flesh but still in it’s early stages and capable of growth. My wound from the bike accident spills open blood vomiting from my side. I press it into Zeke’s neck it’s like the special plastic they use on burn victims and adheres immediately. The bleeding stops but its not good enough I need to get him blood, I want so badly to get my vengeance but I’ve no choice but to turn around and get Zeke to a doctor. That in its self won’t be easy, after all I’m wasted and my face is plastered everywhere in Vegas.

 

Fox lays in the sand and watches the hover ride off. "You could have atleast taken me back to town, damn it." She blacks out. When she wakes up, she's on an operating table, and Susaro is standing near her. He ways "You're lucky. I wanted to talk to you about a job, but the hotel said you went into the desert. Oh, and we found your friend also. You both will need augments." Fox nods and says "Just no nannites. I had a bad experience with them a while back." Fox is injected with a sedative and goes unconscious.

 

I’m still crying I don’t know why, I should have stopped after Susaro found us, but I can’t. I was told he would be okay and I’m glad that I helped him but I’m worried. Seems to me these guys are the Yakuza if they were to find out about Zeke we’d probably get blasted to pieces. Still I can’t complain it was a good trade the two people that I saw first up for Zeke’s health.

I’m sitting on a chair staring at the wall, all I can think is how much I want those onion bikers dead.

 

After about twenty minutes, Fox wakes up. The doctor begins to explain to her about her new alts. "Well, judging by the way your foot and left hand were done, I guessed that you prefered to have your alts look like normal skin. I use the same stuff used for sex dolls to redo your skin, and you've kept your scar over the left eye. I gave you a cyber eye. It has night vision, thermal vision and it can help your targeting. I removed the left leg from the bottom of the thigh down. Again the skin will look perfect. The skeleton is very strong and it has strength enhancers in the knee and ankle so you will be able to kick and jump very well on that leg. Your friend is still knocked out." Fox nods and stands up. The doctors removed her armor, but since she isn't going to leave until Spencer wakes up, so it doesn't really matter. The white t-shirt and boxers will work for now. Fox looks at her self in the mirror. She thinks "That doctor did a pretty good job. I can't even tell that the skin is fake. I can even feel whatever touches it. Though my eye looks kinda weird. Its red instead of green now."

Fox walks out into the hallway and sees that woman she saw earlier. She is one of the cybercops. The woman seems to be very upset. Fox sits next to her and says "Don't worry, the doctors here seem to be topnotch. He will survive. By the way, my name is Fox."

 

I look up as a women walks up and sits next to me. I hang my head.

I can’t help but clench my fists I’m not very good at accepting kindness from other people but I’m going to try. It would probably help if I wasn’t looking like a charity case. I nod my head.

“Thanks,” I manage but I can’t bring myself to look her in the eyes. “I‘m Suzu, how‘s your friend?” I hope I can lead her away from the topic of me. I'm just a mess right now.

 

I walked through the alleyway, a bit chared and bleeding slightly, that venom was deffinatly out of favors. Luckily we where right near his freind, the crazy doctor, I found his door, knocked and he opened quickly with a big smile. "Welcome back, hows the new foot?" He asked way to cheery.

"Fine, mide patching me up a bit?" He didn't awnser but stepped aside for me to walk in. I did and took a seat in the big chair in the center of the room. He went to work closing up some cuts and rubbing something to sooth the burns.

"Not much I can do, but you'll life." He said confidently. I smiled, and closed my eyes, time for a nap.

 

"He was pretty badly hurt, but the doctors say he is in stable condition. I swear, that woman is almost a big of a pain in the a** as that yellow eyed hunter." Fox wonders to herself if Suzu realizes that Fox is a fellow cybercop.

 

I stay tight lipped though it seems like Fox is assessing me.

“I‘m going to get that biker m***” I hiss. “I‘m going to tear her into tiny little pieces and feed her to the rest of her gang. Those morons haven‘t seen the last of me. At least Zeke will be okay and your friend survived. That gang took out three of us today.”

I hope Fox does think I’m over reacting, I can’t stop seeing red. We lost weapons and people tonight. Important people who could have helped us.

 

"I agree with you and I'll definetly be looking to take out that b**** as soon as possible. Though you shouldn't let yourself be consumed by anger. Angry people make mistakes. Oh, and I'm sorry to hear that you lost some of your friends." says Fox. Fox stares forward, and using her new eye, she looks through the wall. She can see that the doctors are operating on Suzu's friend's neck. "It looks like you're going to be here for awhile."

 

"I agree with you and I'll definitely be looking to take out that b**** as soon as possible. Though you shouldn't let yourself be consumed by anger. Angry people make mistakes. Oh, and I'm sorry to hear that you lost some of your friends."
I hardly hear the last part of what Fox has to say.

“Pfft, please anger has been half my life, it’s a reason to strive to get what you want.” I sigh, “Look don‘t listen to me, I tend to run my mouth when I‘m tired.”

I feel bad but I can’t help staring at her new eye.

 

Fox looks at the Suzu and says "Yeah, and look where it got you." Fox taps on the back of her own neck. "Anger is the best way to prepare for battle, but it should never be used during battle." Fox smiles and says "So do you think it matches my hair?", trying to change the subject to something a bit more light hearted.
