Hey there, everybody! I'm not exactly Sir Arthur Conan Doyle or J.K. Rowling, but at the same time I think I've got something in me, burning in spirit and innovation...does that even make sense I'm not sure if I would considered exactly published, so side by side my intro (if this is permitted), I'd like to know if being a constitutional part of magazines measures up to being published. Otherwise, I am somewhat self-published. Well, who am I kidding? I'm not going to talk all mumbo jumbo and eat your tiny brain...I like to write articles which aim to inspire mankind, but even better is novel writing full of pain, emotions and tragedies. I haven't exactly ever finished a novel...but I have many short stories written down. I hope to get some critical appreciation (or insult...) for what I may post and help everyone as much as I can during my stay here...which might cease to end!
Hello anthraxx, and welcome to the Writing Forums. J.K. Rowling and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle have done well thorugh being themselves and no one else. That's the best decision any of us can begin with. On the other hand, reading from authors we admire and learning from their methods is how we generally begin to construct our own individual styles. Now that you've arrived here, why not take some time exploring the site and getting to know the other members. We are all partners, learning from one another how to write better, from the most senior published writers down to the merely curious. It's also a good thing to remember when exchanging reviews, that apart from the more clearly defined spelling, grammatical, or puctuation errors, reviews are opinions by individuals who each have their own styles. So look around, see how we do things, participate, and tackle some challenges. Above all, have fun!
Welcome to the forums, make yourself at home Glad to have you here and I look forward to seeing you around. Don't fret about never having finished a novel, its not as easy at it sounds and you never know - you may just find your inspiration here
Others have beaten me to the welcome but here it is nevertheless. I hope you enjoy the site and if you have any questions feel free to ask.
