I did exactly that in a post and unfortunately the pasted word showed up as a URL link in the post much to the annoyance of one (or possibly more) members. If the original word used an accent or other means in order to establish how it should be pronounced then I take the position of who am I to change that requirement. Agreed - in spades. And I hope that expression doesn't offend anyone
Semicolons are handy for punctuating dialog. I remember writing something like that before… Not here, (checking several other places) OK, found it here: English StackExchange.
I have an extension installed to “copy as plain text” from the browser. That does the same thing as Paste Special > unformatted on the other end, but edit boxes may be lacking in features. Sometimes I past first into a plain text program, then copy again to paste. The other day I had a headache with font changes all throughout the code (mixing English and Chinese text) and that just got rid of all of that. Also, some web sites have a custom action that inserts additional stuff when you copy text, typically a full citation. I’m usually more bothered by formatting and URLs not copying across when I paste a passage (such as a paragraph from Wikipedia).
I've had Montezuma's revenge and a few bad run ins with Taco Bell, but never has Daieresis....cha cha cha.
