I was just wondering if there is any work out there for editing long-form fiction for amateur writers, with the general goal of helping them refine and improve their style. I've found that's the sort of editing I'm good at and really enjoy, I love helping people make their writing more precise and focused. I'm trying to look at different ways of finding work in editing/writing that I know I'm good at, so was just wondering if this sort of work existed. I have pretty decent grammar skills, but grammar isn't really what I enjoy. Any advice much appreciated!
i actually do that kind of work for clients... anything from a simple technical edit, to a comprehensive rewrite, and on up to full ghostwriting... but if you're not really excellent grammar-wise and don't like dealing with that aspect of editing/revision, then i don't see how you'll be able to do a good job for clients, since decent grammar skills is what most of them lack and your work will be around 70% or more in the grammar end of things... feel free to email me if you want detailed info on doing this as a fee-based service... love and hugs, maia maia3maia@hotmail.com
Try going online, I am sure that the job you are looking for is there. Your reason for looking up this kind of job is improvement on your writing skills which is an excellent goal to ahieve...
