Just reread the mission-explanation post, and I'm wondering... should the mission leader/insider on each side be kept secret, or will they be referred to during the story for the other side to see?
Forgotten: Sounds great! Take your time, no rush. We've still got plenty to expand on in the mean time. Warp: Good question. I'm trying to approach this like an actual military conflict. I think it would be safer for the leader if they were kept a secret from their enemies, as it could make them a target. Well, even more of a target than they already are. What do you think of that?
BTW, Sea Wolf, Indira isn't sneaking around. She's just "wandering," pretending to be lost, while secretly memorizing the layout of the base. She hasn't gone behind or inside any of the buildings (as that would look highly suspicious and her aim is to avoid suspicion). Still, she's been walking around for a while and that might raise his suspicion. Anyone who was actually lost would have asked for directions by now. Also, after making a lap of the entire base, she easily made her way back to where the rest of the civilians were. Aeros might pick up on that.
LTW: You will be addressed shortly, in the hangar! But yes, the mission will give us ALL something to do! Anony: Ah, I see! I will change my post to a reflection on his "mild suspicion" after seeing her returning to the civilian sector! EDIT: Changes reflected! Also, I am not trying to blow your cover if you don't want it. I am just trying to build a little tension, at this point!
Much appreciated, Mr. Wolf. And I have nothing against having her cover blown. It would only make things more interesting. In fact, I'm working on a post now, which might ratchet up the tension even further.
Excellent! I'm really enjoying the interest she's keeping in an otherwise "low-action" scenario. Exzalia, take your time, we'll be here all night! If I push, I should be able to roll out the mission messages tonight.
Exzalia, Warp, the Sundew is a UEFSF Freighter (an extremly large, live-aboard ship about 1,000 meters in length; rated for interplanetary and sub-luminal travel). Exzalia, Kate was captured by the UEFSF and brought to their freighter (the Sundew) in orbit over the moon.
I've put up the NCF base post! I may be going to sleep very soon, so if you want to move things along in the conference room Dog, use Riley and the others. Riley would do most of the talking though, and he would be defending the actions of his Judicators, even if they did something wrong.
Good to know, Forgotten! I will push them along myself, but I will most likely have the NCF's number-one-in-charge diffuse the argument, telling Riley that it can be discussed later, as their is a new mission. Also, the post was amazing! I love the excess of wealth and decadence, and the speciesist overtones. You did a great job!
I'd like to mention I'm working on a post, so if anyone's planning to go see Indira/Julia, hold off on that. Sorry for the delay, but it's kinda long and I'm already falling behind, LOL. (For example, I already have to edit in her reaction to the big speech. *gasp* I was trying to finish before that happened, but I was too slow.)
Not sure if I should squeeze in a post for the NCF conference or not. Do you just want to diffuse the argument immediately, Sea Wolf (I'd be perfectly fine with that)?
Simon could rescue MissAndroid's character? Edit: Nevermind, he was picked up by the generals! Oh, maybe they could find her too?
Forgotten, too accurate! Warp, I'm still working on the NCF's version of the "command meet and greet", so feel free to share Simon's thoughts! I'm dying to hear his perspective on the matters at hand!
Thanks for clearing that up! I'll be here all night and I'm finally free to get some posts up. wonder how Tarl will react to her delusion?
I've edited my post to make it seem like there are more people in the room. @Warp Zone: Feel free to place Simon at a table!
