How about each word is differently colored?

I'm sorry; I couldn't resist! I have no problem with that, as another player, with the suggestion that we stay away from annoying colors on the white post background, like yellow, or totally unreadable ones as well.

I can't promise I'll always remember to do that, but I will try to! Do you just mean the dialogue (incorporated into your own post), or the whole prior post?

    I was simply thinking:

"Previous dialogue from last post is blue"

Because bold is really hard for me, I get so confused sometimes.

    Hey Guys!

To those of you who remember me from about five months ago, hello again! I came back to the forum about two days ago and have been looking into this RPG, and speaking to Hawken about joining. He's allowed me and approved my character! Looks like it's going to be fun! :)

Great work Forgotten, I'm getting really pumped about this game. Everyone's characters are great.

I'm going to take the lack of interest in leaka's question as to how to label dialogue from other posts as indifference.

From henceforth all dialogue quoted from another character/post shall be written in BLUE.

So let it be written, so let it be DONE.

...and on the sixth page of the discussion thread, he saith unto them "all prior dialogue shall be in blue" and it has been ever thus...

    amen:D

It would be even funnier if you had photoshopped the lettering in the tablets to be blue (and why is it Akkadian/Hittite-looking, not proto-Hebrew/Sumerian-looking?)!

Really? It looks kind of Phoenician to me, and Phoenician was a semetic language:rolleyes:

But you sound like you know something about ancient peoples, we must discuss this more:)

Not a lot. All I know is that Hittite was kind of triangular-shaped, and even early Hebrew was squarish, hence my puzzlement. I know jack about the Phoenicians (beyond the fact that there is a really good Mediterranean/Arabic/etc. restaurant here in Albany called 'The Phoenicians,' but it can't seem to make a non-laughable commercial to save its life. Anyway...) ;)

The Akkadians used cuneiform like the Babylonians, and apparently the Hittites used a variation of it as well

But the Phoenicians gave us a phonetic alphabet, or alef-beth to the semites (alpha-beta to the Greeks, notice the similarities?:))

Did I mention I'm an ancient history and mythology buff?

Hah, I stand corrected! (I do like critiquing how much Renaissance/Baroque-era clothing there always is in Renaissance/Baroque-era paintings of Biblical subjects, anyway.)

Yeah, most adult biblical art is about as accurate as children's biblical art:p

Hey all, I just heard a rumor that EvilFlamingo isn't going to be on the forum for a while. As I mentioned to some of you, his character was going to play a pivotal role in the story. Stand-by while I decide to take up the role myself, or hand it over to someone else.

I'm still waiting for profiles from Silver, Yellow, Lebby, and Dustin, but we are still on track to get started in a week +.

    *sigh*

I wanted to make aware that August 21st is when my fall semester begins for school.

August 21st-December 18th is my full term.

I will not be able to post as quickly on Monday-Thursday. But Friday-Sunday will be free.

Similar for me! Dates are slightly off, but I will also be a slow poster through the week.

    That said, I will post.

Yellow should be back, and hopefully Lebby feels better soon. I think you should throw in a post from Candice/chalybs/Will to get players posting again.

As to post frequency here, don't worry. I'd like a slow and steady pace, so we don't burn out. I'm more of a mid week poster, but thats ok b/c I can set up the scenario and let you guys run with it over the weekends.

Okay, my inability to find the time to craft a character is pushing the ridiculous. I'm going to go ahead and bow out for now; maybe I can try to squeeze in later.

Awww, first man down. Alternatively Dustin, you could take over Evil Flamingo's character, he's critical to the plot, but comes with a few restrictions; nothing you couldn't work with though. But if its also a matter of time committment I understand that too. You're welcome back any time :)

As to the rest. I'd really like to start next week, but I promised the gang in Crimson Rose that I wouldn't start till that game finished (we are so close!). So all those with characters here and in Crimson Rose GET POSTING! Both RPGs might fail if we don't keep the momentum up!

I'll post up some more details on my universe including some flora by Monday.
