Well, I suppose I can make her an NPC for now and redshirt her later on. Also, normally I'd say that's far too powerful a white magic spell for Scarlett, but considering that: A. She used patterns extensively B. She used crystals as a catalyst, plus we could say they contained white fire C. She was exhausted afterward, implying she used more of her own white flame than she was accustomed to using D. We're kind of in a bind and need some sort of healing before Alaz kicks it E. It's well written. Yes, that does influence my decision making Anyway, considering those things, I'll let it go as plausible. However, this isn't a spell she can duplicate anytime soon. Also, the gems can still be used as catalysts, but for now they have been emptied of fire.
I was going more on the idea that the gems have been totally spent. Dust in the wind as one would say. And she can't re do that soon. It was a one time. For the others conventional medicine will have to do. A splint for Neil, an ice pack for Trucido, etc. And its Scarlet. One T. Not two. I know that its really nitpicky, but thats how it is.
Yeah, I can see that. RPGing isn't quite what I expected, I thought that the players would work off one another more, rather than just with the GM. I let Rainin get a little uncooperative because I planned on having him be really impressed with the powers and abilities of the others. But with the lags early on, my impatience, and just bad luck he hasn't really seen them in action... so... even though he is one of the weaker ones in the group he's still under the impression that he's the best. I'm not sure how to get around that now since he is one of the few to make it out of the fight without serious injuries...

I don't really want another character, I've overcomplicated the one I have enough already. I'll get the horses back and we should have everyone together next post. It makes sense to camp out for the night at least though, considering everyone is all beat to crap. BTW - have you all voted in the writing contest? Only 6 entries this week and 10 votes, but a lot of good stories!

Well first off, I really don't appreciate you just jumping in without asking like that. We have a couple characters abandoned by their players that I'd rather have you run than a new character jumping in. With that said, I'll go ahead and let you run your guy. However, there are a few important points: 1. 200 is too old. Even an Alfar would be barely hanging on to life by then. 2. Even if his socioeconomic status etc. is unknown to the public and the rest of the group, I still need to know for plotting purposes. PM me. 3. "He wears Ancient Alfar, silver, gemmed wrist-guards, a great replant to magic." This use of the word "replant" makes no sense. Please explain. 4. How are these illusions of appearance formed? I can't see a way changing one's appearance could be linked to dark fire.
I'm not supre experienced in RPGing, but generally players work off each other and the GM...however because this one is moving slow, we still haven't had aton of character interactions which is making that hard it seems to be picking up though, which is good

I'll make him simply 23 years old, which should cover number 4 as well, he won't have to alter his appearance. 2. His socioeconomic status is nobility, i'll change his background to: having to exile himself due to the 'affair'. 3. Oops, 'replant' was a typo. I meant to say 'repellent', as in resistant.

Why does everyone keep apologizing? I'll rein my char in and keep him clooser to the group. The revealing of Alaz and Morious as powerful wizards/warlocks should adjusted his attitude appropriately.

Ancient Alfar silver, gemmed bracers, to resist spells such as memory charms. Though, of course, they're almost extremely useless against direct, offensive spells.
When I said that Spickla sliced his teeth threateningly, I mean he just did a warning chomp. Also, it should be noted that, besides being assigned on a very important mission, Alaz is otherwise a very ordinary member of the Shvvlakcarr.
Except, as it says in your character description, he can use yellow fire, while most of the scorpid people don't possess very much magical power. Also, i'm kinda playing on the fact that you dubiously went into a tavern to converse with that other member of the Shvvlakcarr. I got the impression you were a sort of double agent or something, with a wicked scheme up your sleeve.
Alaz can not use yellow fire like most people, he can only do sandcalling. The yellow fire in my profile is there because Dustin wanted it there. Also, Alaz is very loyal to the Shvvlakcarr and they have ordered, at least for now, that he assist in this task. He is not scheming against anyone (with the possible exception of your character), at least not yet.
