The way you wrote that first part, it sounds like Alaz is putting his hand on your shoulder, which is something he wouldn't do.
One question, is "my lord" directed towards Trucido or Mon Ich? For some reason I can't seem to tell.
Mon Ich. She knows him through her father, so she knows he deserves the title. She wouldn't call someone she doesn't know "my lord" in case he wasn't nobility and took it as an insult.
One little linguistic note: unless it begins a sentence, the "mon" in "mon Ich" is lowercase. Other than that, great job so far!
You will be riding whatever steed your character had the foresight to bring. (And it's unlikely they made it to they made it to the pyramid on foot, anyway.)
