I don't remember you mentioning that in your profile... Regardless, there's more than one way to skin and/or heinously torture a cat. Although, on second thought, I may not do anything to Scarlet. If she's well versed in magical pattern theory she would be well acquainted with old languages, which means she'd be a good translator. Of course, on third thought, all the more reason to render her tragically mute...
I didn't. I'm only making it a part of her if I have to. Backup plans tend to come in handy in RPG's.
I see. Do you have any specific information on his death, or do I just fill in the blanks when I get to that part of the story?
Honestly, Trucido would probably like it if she went mute. When you see what their relationship really is, then you'll understand. Oh, and the first rule of story writing, be a total A** to your character. I'm pretty good at this so there's not all that much you can do to my characters. For instance, just last night, in a different RPG at a different place, I had my character impaled upon a giant lizard with three horns. On purpose.
My bad on the sand horrors, I misinterpreted them I guess. I've got a questions about Alaz, is he half scorp, half human? How does that play out in his appearance, does he have an exoskeleton? Its been implied that he has a tail, but what does he really look like?
The Scorpion-Clan are human-like in figure, except they do not have skin and instead have a segmented, chitinous exoskeleton which can be a variety of colors depending on lineage. Alaz and most of the members of the Shvvaklacarr have black exoskeletons or dye it black. They also have no ears, instead having pores in the side of their head which they use to hear, and they have no nose, only nostrils. Their eyes are also all one color, with few exceptions, and generally they are black. It should also be noted that they do not molt, instead their shell grows with them their entire lives. As for the tail, http://earthdancersm.files.wordpress.com/2009/09/scorpion.jpg look at that tail. It's typically a little longer then the individual's height, and very flexible. Also, Alaz and other members of the Shvvlakcarr hide their tails under their robes.
Losthawk, to the east of the Pyami Dehim is a valley which would take less then half a day to cross at a leisurely pace, and beyond that valley is mountains, then Alfar territory. Your character should reach any town to the east of Pyami within a few hours at the pace he's going, if that.
Sorry, guys. I wasn't going to post this because it is outdated and inaccurate in places, plus I wanted to keep this flexible, but I guess we all need to be on the same page with basic geography of the area.
"The wind was cold against her face in the gathering darkness." Wait, is it nighttime now? I was thinking that it was still late afternoon.
Sorry for missing out :L. I just came back from a party and am currently pondering whether I should write the post, intoxication be damned. PS: Excited about m&m's character. It's a nice contrast, rags-to-riches to riches-to-rags.
I feel extremely picky mentioning this, especially seeing as how I was pretty much worthless here today, but are there guns in our RPG world? The gunshot-branch description jumped out at me as a bit off. Are we stopping in town for the night, or continuing on?
oops my bad and i get that, but she was a ways behind you and had to catch up, hence being on the road @acglaphotis, thanks very much
I accepted the gunshot thing as a writer's-perceptive metaphor, but no guns in-world. And I was expecting you to stop, but I'm not going to force you.
I was really tempted to just slit Aaliyah's throat or electrocute her on the spot. But the others probably wouldn't like that.
