I was just wondering what you call your mother. Do you still call her mommy? Or do you now prefer mom or mother? I call my mom, mom most of the time, and mommy once in awhile. I tend to be silly!
My mother i call Mum. Mummy as a kid (unless your name is charles and your mum is the QUeen, then she would still be mummy, lol) If i ever called my mum, Ma`am i think id be beaten to death
Almost all of the above, depending on the circumstances. (With the exceptions of mommy/mummy and ma'am - they're not applicable or necessary because I only talk about her, not to her).
my mother is mom my dad was dad my mother in law was Eleanor then Granny then that nasty old lady my father in law was hey you or nothing then granddad then papa joe.
I call her mum but as a joke I call her by her first name lolol My uncle actually refers to his parents by their first names which i think is reaaally weird To their face and on the phone i mean, aswell as when talking about them to other people.
My mother is Mum My Father is ---- I dont know him (never did, he did a runner on me) My Grand Mother is Nana My Grand Father is Poppy
I also call my mother ma. It's a Spanish thing. The a is close to the a in father, but just slightly more nasal. Kinda' like the sound you are expected to make when the doctor says, "Stick out you tongue and say ah."
after 2 years of mommy from both boys I was called mom. as they became teens it quite often became mooom complete with the rolling eyes. Don was always Dad
My Mom is Mom when I talk about her, Mummy when I talk to her, Mamma when I butter her up for something, and Anita when I want to make her angry. lol My Dad's Papa when I talk to him, and Dad or Papa when I talk about him.
I call my mom Mama. It started as a joke, but now it's just habit. I've gone through a few variations over the years. Mommy, mom, Mo' (cause of a bracelet I made - ran out of letters), and evertually on to Mama. I do tend to call her mother when I'm fake yelling at her. My dad is just Daddy. Always has been. My mom left him when I was 3 and he hasn't been around much over the years, so I never did grow out of it. I know I sound realy childish when I call him Daddy, but it doesn't bother me.
I have used "mother" for the past few years as I believed "mommy" to be too childish. When speaking about my dad I say "father" as well. If I am talking to one of my parents about the other, I will usually refer to them as "him/he" or "her/she".
I call my mother Mom. But, when I'm talking to others, I refer her to her as "My mother" I want my future children to call me Mum. Just because I think it sounds better. Lol
I call my mother mom, mummy, mama, mother, depending on my mood or what is going on. I've heard my Dad call my grandmother ma
I usually call her mom. Mother to my friends if I'm mad at her. I tend to call my dad, dad...but once in a while, 'daddy' slips out.
mine died a couple of years ago, at the age of 93... when i was little, i called her 'mommy'... as a teen and into adulthood, 'mom'... in later years, sometimes 'mama'...
None of the above. I call her Mama or just Ma. (Although when I want something it usually becomes: "Moooooooommmmmyyyy?" )
I called my mother, "Hey, what's for dinner?" Called dad, "Can I borrow the car?" At least, that's what they always claimed!
"Mam and Dad" (or sometimes Ken when in the pub) I Think it was "Mammy" when I was very small. My kids call me "Dad" mostly but quite often "Daddy". My "nan" and "grandpa" are both dead. To my grandkids I'm "Bampi". BV
