I plan like crazy, and then procrastinate on the writing because I'm too busy drawing up charts and spreadsheets to plan out characters and timelines and so on. I try to push myself a little more to the middle, but I find it hard. As soon as I write off the cuff and come up with something unplanned, I go back to my plan to see how it fits in and whether it can be reasonably tied to the other threads etc. Maybe the next novel I'll do differently.... (lol yeah, right)
