I have 7 in progress right now -- my second general fiction novel, one romance novel in planning, one in writing, one in proof stages, 2 articles, one erotic novella, and final editing and revision on my first general fiction novel.
I have several projects going on; I always do. I'm working on a murder mystery (by far my hardest as it is my first in this genre), a post-apocalyptic piece, a general fic, a memoir, and a major essay that I'm not quite sure what to do with. All are still in the preliminary writing phases except the essay, which I'm nearly finished with; a few final revisions, and it should be ready for publication! The hardest challenge is getting anything done; it seems I make very small progress, but only because I've so many on my hands. Contrarily, I never run out of energy to write! If I ever get exhausted from one piece, I can easily divert my attention to another. As far as sharing anything on the site at present, no; I'm brand new so I have barely had time to review anyone else's work (Review Count: 1) let alone post my own. ...Additionally, I'm way too shy to post anything at this point.
At the moment, I have one fantasy novel, one short story in the editing stages, one piece for my own amusement, and one flash fiction that needs to be cut down to size. I always have a bunch of ideas for future books/short stories buzzing around in my head, so I generally don't count those.
I always keep three works-in-progress: One short story One novel/plan for a novel One aspect of world-building It's all crap I need to get done, too. I know very few writers who don't have at least two projects going on. I've met writers who have as many as a dozen.
I've got several projects going on at once. 1. My script (Although, it’s an ongoing project) 2. Essay for English (Almost complete) 3. Poetry (I am currently writing up a beautiful poem about nature/peaceful)
I have one novella going on, and four short stories...boy it's tough finding motivation sometimes, but I find having multiple projects keeps me more motivated and makes me a better, more versatile writer. I have a lot of ideas and I usually want to at least jot a few sentences about it, which often leads to whole new project .
I have currently in the works: "In her Cellar (working title)" a short story "The Secret in the Snow" (Revisions on my 2008 NaNo Novel) "Jack" (horror novel) "Away From Perdition" Finished, final touches. and typing up 4 years worth af hand-written stories, poems and dialogues.
Amazingly, I've only got one that I'm focusing on right now, though there have been times in the past when I've had three or four going at the same time. I have a terribly short attention span. PS: BG_Hambone, I love your avatar. Jeff Dunham is the best.
I'm working on a fantasy serial, an adult serial, a novel rewrite, and various shorter stories/novellas. HOWEVER, I only ever pay close attention to one at a time, and for quite a while the one demanding my attention has been the fantasy serial. My mood shifts every so often; a while back I was taking notes on the adult serial, so who knows? I haven't posted anything here for critique as I'm not seeking it. As others will say, starting numerous projects is useless if one never finishes any.
Well, if there's just a bit of room in the bandwagon for my narrow butt then count me in! I always have multiple projects at varying stages of completeness. Sometimes two unrelated projects find themselves drawn to one another and, if I am lucky, the joining piece comes to me and the two become one. Anyone ever have that happen?
Yes Cog, thank you for the visual. Little blue pills spilt all over the floor of a room filled with rabbits.
I actually have 4 projects i'm working on right now and i have over 40some ideas and/or started stories >.<
Got two big stories (one novel and one script) going, and right now I am working on a host of short stories: Devil on the Freeway - Black comedy about Satan being trapped on Earth and trying to make deals with people to buy his way back in. But nobody wants to do it. Walls - Romance about two childhood friends with growing feelings for eachother, stopped only by their healthy and long-lasting friendship. The Gravedigger - Social commentary about a gravedigger who is blamed for murders he didn't commit, abruptly shaking up his normal solitary life style. And yes, bunnies on Viagra is very nice imagery.
Another multi-tasker here! I had to cut back recently on the number of freelance writing jobs I take on through outsourcing sites because my plate was getting too full. It's nice to be busy, but it's also nice to be able to breath a little, and there are only so many hours in the day.
Suprisingly, I'm only working on three projects at the moment, but I have quite a few ideas for stories that need to be written. (From most complete to least complete) Fate - Fantasy novella, in the editing stage. The Legend of Revan - Star Wars fan-fiction, currently being typed up. Untitled Novel - Sci-Fi novel, currently in the plotting stage. Plus several other ideas on deck! (Yes, most of them are fantasy. lol)
I always have several ongoing projects. I never work on them all at the same time, I move around between them depending on mood and inspiration. Right now I have ten unfinished pieces sitting on my harddrive. A few of them I haven't touched in years, and doubt I will ever finish. My muse also has the nasty habit of giving me ideas for new projects when I'm right in the middle of another. Which means I have to stop working on that one, and start this new project.
i have one novel...a husband...a two year old...a four year old...a dog...and a saturday job....loads of washing and ironing and a toilet which forever gets blocked. If i did another project something would have to go......the husband?
I'm currently working on four different things, 2 novels, a short story and a horror series. I'll be lucky if I have enough inspiration and focus to complete all of them. LOL....
Well, I wouldn't say I am working on them at the moment, but as it stands, I may have the most started, but idle projects on the board. 29 screenplays (give or take a few, because I think a few are restarts of other screenplays) 2 short stories 2 stories I want to turn into a novel and one story I am working on now that I am focusing all my attention on. Its all ready 42 pages long and at 11,080 words and growing.
I have so many stories to write, but I do want to get at least most of them finish. I enjoy writing, but I do need little help on organization. Does anyone have like helpful tip on organization for writing more than one story at a time?
folders help. But personally, I have a few of those 'thum tack' board things up on my walls. That pretty much keeps it all oragnized for me, 'cuse i can see everything in front of me, instead of among clutter. XD
