    Plural Nouns

    Plurra/singular nouns like:

    entourage
    people
    Family



    what is the correct way?

    Her entourage call her.
    or
    Her entourage calls her.

    Her family are amasing.
    or
    Her family is amasing.

    Google "collective nouns" and there should be a few guides to tell you what you need to know. :)

    although an 'entourage' consists of more than one person, it would be the singular 'calls' due to it being a 'collective noun' [look them up as suggested above]

    .
    first of all, it's spelled 'amazing' on both sides of the pond...

    and again, as 'family' is a collective noun, you use the singular 'is'...

    however, 'people' is just a normal plural noun... so it's 'people call' and 'people are'...
