Probably old news to many, but I find this quite interesting. Strange trumpet-like noises have been reported bellowing from skies all over the world. Have so far been unable to discover any explanation, although being the practical type I've no doubt there is one, even if it's just one huge hoax. This one in particular is very eerie and I would have loved to have been there when this happened. Listening to this one again, it sounds like some kind of sound effect dubbed over the clip, and the people are reacting not to the noise, but the approaching storm.
Sounds like the movie "Red State" written and directed by Kevin Smith. Look it up if you get a chance, really good movie.
Looks fascinating! I don't think we've anything to worry about though, it's just a really creepy looking cloud. Love it when Nature surprises me with things like this. That said, if it was some sort of end-of-the-world cloud, I'll be sure to apologize to you in the Afterlife.
A couple of you seem to have missed the point - either that or you didn't have your speakers switched on and/or read my post
To be fair, when I saw the title of this thread, I immediately thought of: I'll be in my bunker now. *crawls into Vault 21*
I heard strange firework type noises from my house. I woke up the next day to find people all over England heard the same thing. I reckon it's the Russians!
That cloud found its way into my dream last night. The phone rang before I got to dream what happened when it got to me.
The tones and "trumpets" sound suspiciously like selectively lifted audio samples of this most famous of film scenes.
I'm not hearing anything at the 2:00 mark that sounds like the original clip?? All I can hear is a steady hum - like the sound inside an airplane at 35,000 feet. [edit] Ah, you mean the 'dialogue' honks between the humans and the mothership? Yes, they do sound very similar.
There are a dozen or more weird noises in the sky videos. After hearing this one I went outside and there were similar noises coming from nearby construction sites.
Yes, I've watched a number of them. I posted the beach storm one as it seemed the most eerie. As I hinted at in my OP, I'm the world's biggest sceptic, but I don't think construction sounds are the answer. If all this isn't just one giant hoax, then they'd have already been revealed as coming from construction sites. What convinces me that the clips aren't manufactured, is people's reactions to the noises. They're consistent and seem genuinely puzzled rather than anything else. If all the people in the clips were screaming "Aliens!" or "Armageddon!" then I'd be far more inclined to think it was all a hoax. I honestly think it's a natural phenomena of some kind, that is yet to be explained.
