Jhunter: you're probably right. I have to start reading more like a writer, I guess. The only time I've noticed that ending with a cliffhanger-thing lately was when reading an excerpt of a book from a swedish writer, it was hard NOT to notice since it practically ended with a cliffhanger every three pages! And almost in the middle of a sentence. And while I'd say it kept me curious on a genre I usually don't read (thrillers) It also felt a somewhat cheap trick instead of, like you guys say, writing a book that makes you keep reading Because it's good. I didn't buy the book, in the end, but it got me thinking. If that is literally all it takes to make something that is considered a good read...
