After trapping a raccoon that has taken up residence in the family's attic, he takes the animal several miles from their beach house to release it in a wooded area. But as he opens the door of the trap, the raccoon manages to bite him before racing off into the night. Upon returning home, Julia's mother, Deanna, tends to the wound and suggests that he go to the hospital. But Stephen stubbornly refuses. Later, as the family sits down for dinner, he begins to notice a headache. This is where Julia's story begins. Name: Cameron Moore Age: 26 Race: human Appearance: tall, dark hair, handsome Type of Magic/Weapons/Skills: skilled crossbow hunter, expert marksman, trained survivalist Strengths/Weaknesses: intelligent, aloof, can survive alone in even the most hostile, inhospitable environments Miscellaneous: INTRO: Cameron lives in a log cabin in a mostly uninhabited, wooded area near Beachtown. Enjoying a life of solitude, he is an avid hunter and is one of the first to notice the infected animals living in the forest. One day, after shooting and killing a rabbit that is exhibiting symptoms of the mysterious disease, he takes the animal's corpse to a local veterinarian in order to try and identify what has sickened the local wildlife. This is where Cameron's story begins.

I'll wait a bit as well. If no one joins within the next couple of days, I'll start a campaign for contributors & see if I can't persuade a few posters on other boards to join us. If that doesn't work, I'll go ahead and post my beginning. It's going to be kind of long, but I think you'll like it.
I don't understand why more people don't participate in the RPG's. They're a great way to practice--and improve--your writing technique. Hey, you know what? I just thought of something; you never answered my question about how many famous people you've seen / met in L.A. So? Come on, spill the beans already.
Name: Dall Strider Age: 22, male Race: Letorian (alien) Appearance: human, tall (long-legged), slim, ruddy skin, dark unkempt hair, wearing long ragged clothes and a gray straw hat. Type: Letorian. Letorians are aliens with human appearance. Their unique features are: having long legs, stronger bones than that of the average human, and being raised with an animal known as lammibug. Letorians have very strong ties with lammibugs, and use them to fight, hunt, and survive in the dangerous distant planet of Leto. Letorians are known in Eternia as "Tamers". They are usually seen in the Great Forest, although they became a less common sight after the zombie epidemic. -A short explanation on Lammibugs: Shaggy tall beasts raised by Letorians. They have very strong jaws, short (but sharp) claws, and very powerful senses, although they have no eyes. They are dumb and rely on instincts as well as their masters' training. Only Letorians are able to tame and ride them. (Now back to Dall) Strengths/Weaknesses: Impatient, resilient body, strong, dependent on his lammibug, easily adapts to places. Miscellaneous: BACKGROUND: Dall was raised in the Ramblings by foster human parents with very little knowledge on his own species. Dall grew up with his lammibug, although he used it mostly for agricultural purposes, since that was how his foster family earned their bread and butter. Dall grew up sceptical of his foster family's idea of love and respect, he always searched for his own identity, and saw Hadra as the closest key to what he was looking for. Dall's foster parents were killed when the zombie epidemic begin. Dall then, found temporary refuge in the Great Forest.
Name: Bastien Age: early 20s Race: half-elemental. Appearance: humanoid, horns like a ram and rough skin like sandstone. Type of Magic/Weapons/Skills (explain your character's abilities in detail) adept fighter with a 2 handed hammer, studied at the magic academy for geomancy and due to his half elemental status he has a great mastery of earth magics. His specialty is golem of all kinds. Strengths/Weaknesses Because he is half earth elemental, he has a very tough skin and therefore a high physical defence, but can be slow to make up his mind and is especially weak to magic. Not a fast guy in any respects, he makes up for his lack of speed by hitting like a freight train. Miscellaneous A pretty laid back guy by nature, he likes going on hikes and sitting in the rain, not typically a nationalistic guy he was shocked that the crisis his country is in worried him so deeply
