It's a location symbol for a dragon lair. I like the simplicity of it and, since I love anything dragons, fittingly chose it for my profile picture.
It's from the Jim Jarmusch film, Stranger Than Paradise. Still his best to date, which I don't suppose he'd thank me for saying considering it was one of his early ones.
I drew my profile picture a long time ago whilst messing around in a new photo-editing software I had just downloaded (Paint.NET if anyone is interested). I found that the image could be many different things if looked differently. Personally, I think it's an eye but I have heard other explenation like a bull, a gun, the front-view of a bycicle who'se rider is holding his arms in the air. I just found it interesting as a whole, so I kept it. Edit: please forgive the many mistakes I probably have done. I have drunk a bit much.
It's me feeding a chipmunk, but not just any chipmunk. He was my friend and I named him Amigo. He lived in a small hole in the hill. When I used to have chickens I had a big bag of cracked corn. I would sit on the steps for hours and give him handful after handful. He would stuff it in his cheeks and run back to his hole and come back. He must of had so much corn in there! I could pet him and even pick him up. One day I would like to befriend a squirrel, but they are a little more challenging. Especially the red ones.
I've always loved wolves, the pack mentality, etc.. I've run with a group, that felt like a pack - a family - but I've also run alone, a lone wolf with no pack and no one to turn to. Felt that a wolf represented me well so I found this pic. - t
He is Jan Novak, a ten years old kid, one of the first characters I ever created. The avatar was drawn as a gift by an illustrator nicknamed Ravengrim, since he liked the character and his set of tales. Though I have lost contact with the author, I still appreciate the care and skill he put onto giving him a well achieved look, so I use it often with pride and gratitude.
My favourite time of day is the golden hour and I painted this scene in oils that I came across on my drive to work one a cold winter morning. It was a fast piece that I busted out simply trying to capture the light effects and I was not originally certain about it but it really grew on me and has become my favourite piece I have ever created.
I have no idea. Always been a Nelson fan, and the theme just stuck. Plus there are hundreds of funny Nelson picks available on line, so things stay fresh.
The flower's name is gladiolus, and it is my birth flower. There you have my picture (and username explained). I could have gone with Poppy, but considering what can be made from that flower I decided not to go with that.
I took and like the photo, and admire the calm enthusiasm he shows while tearing apart a literal leg of lamb. All that has little if anything to do with the actual me, except for the idea of tearing into something I'm critiquing -- which is also something I try not to do. I guess the avatar is really an anti-avatar.
cartoon me with a face mask. pretty much whatever the avatar wears is more or less a direct copy of what I have in my closet. It's wearing a red and grey hoodie and grey sweatpants. That has basically been my quarantine uniform for the past few weeks.
Thats the only pose the site offered lol. I dont like it either, but i like all of the other customization options and little details.
I do like your Simpson’s themed avatars. You used to have that one of Homer Simpson a long time ago and that was more in kindling with your name but I’m glad you still stuck with the theme after all these years. My favourite character from the Simpsons is Lisa. Ah.. I thought it was about you getting ready to karate chop anyone who steps out of line. Lol. Come to think of it, you ARE wearing a quarantine mask. I wonder why I’d never noticed that before.. ha, ha.
When I had the cicada: I found it laying on my porch one day. It was dead, so it posed perfectly for the shot. Actually this shot was from the 2nd day, after a nice gentle rain cleaned it off, originally it was pretty dirty. My current one is one of my stopmotion puppets, though the head was made by a very talented sculptor/puppet maker named Scott Radke. I'll pop that in here too in case I change it later: That's the whole picture, I brightened it up and just used part of it for my avatar. The film never got finished, it was too big of a project and I got buried under it. In fact that's when I turned away from stopmotion and decided to look for a nice writing forum. Anybody know of one?
