Sorry I got this from another site not the original and did not know it was copyrighted. I thought it would make an interesting discussion.
It also means it's possible to have a negative confidence percentage, which would be mathematically meaningless. Still the overall idea is very sound.
The questions are moot, every no answer gains you nothing. So thus the only answer is yes? But then you subtract the ten percent because of doubt. Hmmm... my mind is fuzzy.
lessa, this is taken from a website i hesitate to name, for reasons which would be clear, if i did [how's that for confusing, dboz?]... if you're not jennifer r, the originator of the material, you must cite the source, or be committing plagiarism, wittingly, or un- since she states very clearly on the site that all material is protected by copyright and none can be used w/o her permission or without giving credit to her as the author... love and hugs, maia
it's ok to post it, lessa, as long as you cite the author and source... unfortunately, not everyone does that, so when you see something on the web, before you copy it and post it anywhere, you really need to do a google plagiarism seach to find the original and then cite it properly, or ask permission, as the case may be... you may be interested to know this came from a site for transsexuals... here's the link, in case you want to repost it: http://www.transsexual.org/belief.html hugs, m
