Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan were a wonderful pro wrestling announce team for WWE. Gorilla being the straight laced play-by-play guy and Bobby being his heelish adversary.

Part of Gorilla's gimmick was using really technical terms to describe body parts. That led to this exchange.

Bobby Heenan - "Gorilla, what's with you naming all the body parts?"

Gorilla Monsoon - "I happen to have a knowledge about it. Why don't you try it?"

Bobby Heenan - "There's a kick to the uterus."

    I loved those two.

Reminds me of another quote, whose source I do not know: "It it no more reasonable to expect that the world will treat you better because you are a nice person than it is to assume that a bull will not charge you because you are a vegetarian."

"The hard is what makes it great."

It perfectly describes many of the eras of my life when I really had to push myself. Not all, but many.

"Bingo," I cried, deeply moved, "you must act. You must assert yourself. You must put your foot down. You must take a strong stand. You must be master in the home."

He looked at me. A long strange look.

"You aren't married, are you, Bertie?"

    "You know I'm not."

My horoscope for this week (from The Onion):

    Pisces | Feb. 19 to March 20
This is a great time for romance in the workplace, if you’re the sort of idiot who thinks that’s even close to a good idea.

On hearing the flip that many Republican senators are saying regarding the appropriateness of selecting a Supreme Court Justice close to a presidential election, I was reminded of this Samuel Butler quote of 1678:

"What makes all doctrines plain and clear?
About two hundred pounds a year.
And that which was proved true before
Proved false again? Two hundred more."
