I forgot to put down that I love, I mean truly love, Cannibal Corpse. I've not met anyone else as yet, on 4 forums I frequent, myspace, facebook and people away from net that like it either.
Cannibal Corpse! Haha, they're a brutal band. I like their sound, but if you ever look up their lyrics it'll truly disturb you. Particularly I Cum Blood and Necropediphiliac. Still, their classics!
I like a lot of Christian bands, mainly, but usually not the newer ones, as they tend to all sound the same. Some of the bands I like are dc Talk, Smalltown Poets (I got my user name from one of their songs), Jars of Clay, Switchfoot, Relient K, and I like some songs from some secular bands, like They Might Be Giants and Radiohead. dc Talk and Smalltown Poets are tied for my most favorite.
I like Anberlin, but they're not too famous. . . yet. <.> Anyone else heard of them? I'm also starting to like 30 Seconds to Mars.
I have a lot of singers and bands I like.... Bands such as Bullet for my valentine , Trivium , Sonic sindicate and Atreyu. But I actualy admire one band and thats is Nickelback . He has a unique voice.
haha! Yeah they are brutal and their lyrics are just absolutely awesome if you ask me. Sick, and disturbing, but absolutely awesome. I have read the pyrics and yeah it was a little disturbing, but still absolutely brilliant I love their music.
Nickelback lipsynchs at concerts. (hed) P.E., Serj Tankian (and SOAD, of course), Black Stone Cherry, Five Finger Death Punch, Rammstein, Clutch, Tenacious D, Poets of the Fall, Ligion, Incubus.
Haven't had time to read the whole thread. Has anyone mentioned Muse, and of course their singer Matt Belamy? I mean, he can hit a pitch that human voices are not ment to produce, apparently. Now that's skill. Check out the song Microcuts, if you want an example of just how good he is.
My dad got me interested in U2 a while back. Now they're one of my favorites. And now I know what my mom meant when she said Kevin Max sounds like Bono. Except she said "Ewww he sounds like Bono," but I think they both have good voices. Radiohead is creepily awesome. Their songs are...well...intriguing. Especially Idioteque. But the all-time best band (in my opinion) is They Might Be Giants. They've done a number of songs for TV, such as the new Dunkin' Donuts songs, the Amazing Vacation Homes theme, the Malcolm in the Middle theme (except I don't really like that show). Their children's music is also featured on the Disney Channel. They also did a song for a Play-Doh commercial but I forget which one it is. I know, I know, I'm a nerd.
Hehe... there's really too many for me to name, and it changes often, but I'll mention a few I'm into right now. Bauhaus, Peter Murphy, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Cruxshadows, Aerosmith, Delain, Def Leppard, Guns 'n Roses, Bon Jovi, Pearl Jam, Queen, the Arrogant Worms, Jeff Healey...
That's difficult...My top three favorites are probably Coldplay, Nickelback, and Keith Urban (gotta have my country in there!) The new Coldplay CD is awesome.
I feel like I'm in the minority here, but I absolutely love country music. Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard,Travis Tritt and Hank (Sr.&Jr.-III not so much) are definitely at the top. Some of the new stuff being put out is kind of catchy, but it'll never beat the old stuff. I'm not big on Texas Country, but Pat Green and some others are pretty good. Bluegrass also does it for me: Bela Fleck (and the Flecktones), Leftover Salmon, Railroad Earth, Nickel Creek and Allison Krauss. Mellow stuff as well: DMB, Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, ALO, G. Love and the Special Sauce, Amos Lee Also anything I can workout too: old school Korn (some of their new stuff is kind of good, never top their first album though or Follow the Leader), SoaD, various rap like Jay-Z, Tupac, Biggie Smalls, Kanye West. AC/DC is an awesome band to work out (and rock out) too. Thunderstruck gets me pumped every time.
Jhonny Cash is really cool But my favorite music genre is rock, and my favorite bands are: Guns N' Roses - Hard Rock Artic Monkeys - Indie Rock Oasis - Britpop
