    Fellow Poets

Discussion in 'The Craft of Writing Poetry' started by Kelvin S C Yearwood, Mar 9, 2020.

I may have missed it, but when I registered I could not find 'poetry' as a genre (so I chose 'political' - shouldn't poetry be so?). I hope this hasn't discouraged other poetry specialists. I'm pleased to announce that I have a first book of poetry coming out at the end of the month through Austin Macauley Publishing - Epical Doggerel. Calling any other poets, or writers generally.

If you possibly can get out of that contract asap - i hate to break it to you but austin mcauley are a notorious vanity publisher... here's a top tip, reputable publishers do not charge authors to publish

Try not to go down the “vanity publishers” route. There are great alternatives to publishing. If anything, you should read about the personal experience this lady had to endure and a level of harassment she could not escape from once she signed up with one.
