Hmmm... i just re-read your char's template maybe he'd get along with Vlad? Though the post im thinking of will be the month later and starts out with him in a practice sword-fight.
Possibly, he is trying to impress those in charge as he's not used to taking such a low ranking position and throwing himself into his work is a good escape. The big seller would be their first encounter and whether Vlad talks down to him and acts superior or whether he feels he's respected (assuming Christoph isn't currently nursing a bottle of Vodka at the time in which case he deserves the abuse). With your cold and intimidating personality and my ability to rise to anything I wouldn't envy anyone that gets on the wrong side of us if we spend time together! The time jump makes it interesting to work out relationships. My character might well have pulled himself together quite a bit in a month.
Okay -well Vlad would be a bit.... tense after the incident with the Emperor. So maybe he would try to find some excuse to unwind and then he would end up meeting Sabre in that state. If he hadn't been drinking, or maybe if he had, (I imagine Vlad might have gone to get a drink himself) they could have ended up as friends in a number of ways. And when we see them the month later, they're keeping their skills sharp by dueling together and with the other guards. Vlad would at least make sure no one got lazy on the job.
and never mind we got orders -i won't control your character but Sabre is definetly in the group that Vlad will be going with. TO THE SANDS!

Should we assume the ship has now landed? I think if I made a post it would be too short. Also I did something I have never done before when RPing. I had a flash of inspiration and put a post together for the future, when the crew gets back on the ship. It's weird I generally have to write in logical order with RPs but this just came to me lol.
What are the guns like in this steam punk. I know we have hand cranked gatling guns on the ship but what did you have in mind for the foot soldiers are we looking at single shot flint pistols or something a bit more fancy?
Something you might see in a Wild West film. Revolvers, lever-action rifles, stuff like that. I'm no weapons expert. :|
Would like World War II era semi automatic pistols, ala self loading with a clip in the handle, exist? Those have been around for a long time. Edit: even in ww I there were automatic pistols. Germany had a variant of the Luger, and the .45 automatic was a thing even then.

BTW, about the buttons, it seems like only the blue ones have a hyperlink. The red button isn't clickable. I don't know if that's because you guys didn't apply the URL tags to it or if there's something "wrong" with the red button. I suspect it's the former, not the latter. The button is just an image, right? Each member chooses a URL for it to link to. *Considers making his link to Feyfalken.* Argh, must firght the temptation...
Its cuz they didn't hyperlink them. You can make it a link to Feyfalken if you want... Just add something to your sig that makes it plain that it is going to Feyfalken. lol
