Flame of the Crimson Rose Discussion

Discussion in 'Archive' started by Honorius, Jan 2, 2010.

This is where we discuss Flame of the Crimson Rose.

Comments, questions, etc. You guys know what to do.

Oh, and btw, playing two rpgs at the same time isn't as hard as it seems.

How are powers going to be determined?

    Will our characters have power?

    You should join yellow.

And Leaka, each character gets a power, and you can choose what that power is. But, I'd like to have all the powers secrets at the beginning of the game (You won't pick a fight with the fire extinguished mage if you throw fire balls). So this adds a level of reality.

Also, you'll need to PM me what the power is and its details (I need to approve it and I need to know so I can set up more efficient challenges.)

Also, remember that your character's powers have either already appeared or will appear soon. All the powers with start fairly week, but they'll grow quickly.

    Does that help?

Mmmkay. Thanks for answering my questions Honor.

Um....would a blind character be to much?

    Or a wheelchair?

Not at all. Just so long as you remember that it is very difficult to dodge fireballs, run from bad guys, etc. if you can't see or move quickly.

So remember that. But otherwise, that's fine. They can be a paralytic for all I care. But remember that if you can't dodge, run away from, block, see, or counter a fire ball flying at you, you're going to have trouble surviving.

    Go ahead Leaka.

Okay, so I put up a blog post about abilities. That should help y'all out.

Just remember, if you can think of a tangible origin for it, then its probably okay. Remember tangible. Imaginary numbers, no. Utter randomness, no. String theory, no. Chaos, no.

Fire, yes. flying, yes. nitroglycerin snot ball, odd but yes. shoot missiles our of your rear, very odd... but sure. Tangible (and reality preferred) is the key.

.... Sure. Why not. But your character would be totally useless in battle and he'd probably get killed. Otherwise, not really a problem with it.

    Hey y'all,

I've got one little issue with my character that I need y'all's help with. He needs to be trendy, attractive and 'hip'. But that's changed a lot since I went to high school... actually... I never went to high school, so I have absolutely NO IDEA what is cool now.

It's not going to be important to the character, but once we get going I might ask you to give him an appropriate hair style and fill in other details that will be needed ;)

Don't look at me. I'm the antithesis of "Hip" & "Trendy".

The soul fact that I use words like Antithesis should be proof.

Plus at my school, I take lots of AP and Honors classes. So I only know what the cool kids on the smart spectrum is. I don't know about the average person. I'm sorta sheltered like that.

Thanks for the 'no help' Honor ;)

You must SEE 'cool' people right?

and BTW, just so any disgruntled high school students don't think about quitting, I only technically did not go high school. I was home schooled through high school, and now I'm working on an advanced degree through the university, so I am still very PRO-education. But I'm also pro-alternative education :)

Haha. Yeah... I don't really see the "Cool" kids. Just so happens that at my school, the "Smart kids" (Me) are essentially separated from the "Cool" kids. None of the same classes. So I see them, but I don't really pay attention to them, know them, or spend any time with them.

    So...

    :p

I dont know, furniture summoning could be a great power, as long as you can summon them anywhere. SOFA METEOR SHOWER!!!! Or you could cut out the middle man and just summon a bed INSIDE the enemy, and make him/her explode. hmmm... not a bad idea that... I GOT DOUBLE DIBS (Im so mature :)

By the way if your looking for an example of a cool person, i am coolness embodied. Stunningly handsome, incredibly charasmatic, very intelligent, slightly delusional and modest :)

Lebby is currently in the process of approval. I think he'll be done soon though.

Oh, and I can tell you what all the cool people look like, act like, listen to, etc. in Japan. But I can't when it comes to America...

Im well liked by the 'cool crowd' however i dont usually hang out with them.
I dont mind popular people if i believe they deserve it, what i hate are thugs who somehow become popular by being a dick to everyone else.

(this is me voicing my opinion disgusied as helping u guys lol)

yeah, cool is over rated and basically dissolves once you leave high school. But in my book you're all cool just for being here :)

Thanks for the promise of help! So how is this thing going to kick off, what's going to be the opener Honor?
