Hokay, due to the sheer amount of activity that has gone on, I have only included Sam's responses to the happenings most directly affecting him.
Hmmm, Cole really should get in on this, but I'm waiting for FM or Zigg to respond. It looks like things have quieted down, so maybe I'll wait till morning before jumping in on the action.
I've been so tempted to have Cole ask 'which way to Mordor?' but it's not really in his character... **EDIT** PS: @FM minor detail, but Caleb drew the box on the floor, not the sketch pad. And btw, about how big is this rock and its new case?
That's funny, I pictured it as about the size of a quarter for some reason. We might need Honor to define it b/c it could have implications on how we carry or hide this stone.
Hey Mingo, I like your post, but I'm not sure Caleb was able to get the stone back into your pack as planned. I think Addison is about to put it into Sam's box.
yeah, so its pocket sized somewhere between a golf ball and a nickle? BTW did you see my prev post at the end of page 64 regarding who has the stone?
Wait, no. What? What the hell is going on now? I swear to go these people are gonna cause my character to go on a rampage. It's okay, I already have ideas in case he needs to go rogue.
Yeah, @Lebby, I think we need to have Caleb leave Nathan alone their conflict is almost irreconcilable and if it gets too far it could derail Honor's plot. Cole is probably going to threaten him within an inch of his life once he fesses up. That should provide some motivation for Caleb to curb his natural impulsiveness. You guys should sort out how you want Nathan and Caleb's relationship to go though.
Nice sketch Justin. I think I understand it better now. One question I have though, is it retractable? As in, can you take it out or suck it back in or something?
Yeah, it is hinged behind his wrist and at the base of the blade. The blade folds down mantis like, and then the whole thing folds back to rest along his forearm. So at rest the point faces out near his wrist, and the upper joint where the blade starts is near his elbow. In my mind his forearm is also slightly altered to accommodate the extra joint and muscles, required. While the extra bit isn't really concealed when against his arm, it's held tight to it and not really immediately obvious from a distance, esp if he's wearing his jacket.
I haven't decided. I think he should have at least a matching arm, but I'm waiting till Honor reveals what we're up against to decide on his final features. A lot of what Cole does with his power is in response to what happens to him. He modifies his muscles to run faster when he gets pissed about being outpaced. He grows a bladed weapon after his arm gets sliced by a knife. Fortunately nature has developed almost every biological weapon imaginable, so I have a lot of ideas to choose from depending on what Honor throws at me. The catch will be developing in time. Cole has an enhanced metabolism, but not a supernatural one. I'm not going to be around much on Sat. so I plan to let Cole to get whooped, and then react by becoming stronger for the next conflict. He just needs enough time to grow something cool before he gets hit again.
