I've heard of this before. The dude—wish I could remember his name—who lives with his own wolf pack, had his howl analysed and apparently he's managed to learn the particular nuance that marks the individual. One researcher went as far as to say that he had it down so well, she would challenge anyone to tell that his howl wasn't coming from one particular wolf. Fascinating stuff.
