I LOVE Oy! What an awesome pet!!! All I wish is that they keep to the book and make it as epic as it really is. "The man in black fled across the desert and the Gunslinger followed."
Clint will be in the films, as will Ron's father Rance. As far as I know they are all of Ron's movies (most of which are stellar). Suggest Halle Berry as Susannah, maybe Aaron Eckhart as Eddie.
Who said anything about information? Speculation, my dear Speedy. Thought that was clear. But I see no way in hell for Ron not to include his kin. Don't have time to IMB it but they always appear, and I'll bet a dollar they'll be in DT. Heck, make it two dollars! Cheers, Dave
Hearing rumours that, Javier Bardem has been offered the role as Roland. I loved him in No Country for Old Men, but.... i just don't know. Also rumours of, Jennifer carpenter to play, Susannah. If a white chick plays the role of a black women from the 60's, which is so inportant to the character, i will say with 100% certainty, i will skip this piece of sh!t. Unless the article screwed up, and meant Susan.
I can't wait to see the first installment of this movie. Assuming it's going to follow the first two books or so, it will basically be some guy running across a desert after some guy for no yet apparent reason, and then across a beach whilst sleeping occasionally. Sounds good to me. Not to be a killjoy; the one thing I did enjoy about The Gunslinger was the Man In Black's long winded speech about the inferiority of our universe at the end (which sounded in my head as Sean Bean's voice). Alas, I would like Sean Bean to play The Man in Black.
There is one thing, at least one thing, that happens in the Dark Tower series that we are told an author should never do. I won't spoil it, but Stephen King had alot of nerve doing what he did. Even so, I was able to get past that. What I couldn't get past was Wolves of the Calla. Everything started seeming too contrived. That's when The Dark Tower died for me, and I never finished it.
I'm still working on Wizard and Glass (currently enjoying the young ka-tet), and I'm worried after I finish reading it. A lot of people say that they stopped short on Wolves, or even Wizard. I think I've invested a lot of feelings to the ka-tet (old and new) that I'd be mad if King messes it up.
