Ah, see? That's the problem! It's like that in pretty much EVERY country. But I can't choooseeeee which experience I want first. Though, I think I've ruled out Austria. It's oober expensive and I don't think I'll be able to learn German as well as I think I need to. (In case you can't tell, I'm a huge socialite, and not being able to communicate would be the death of me.,) So, it's down to Ecuador, Costa Rica, or Australia.

In that case i'd choose Australia.

It's more expensive then South America but you wont have any language problems (well... most of the time).

It's also very beautiful and if you ever get bored you can always go to new-Zealand and count sheep.

This is true. Here's the plan: I'll put all three on my Application, and go to whichever hasn't been filled! Yay for solutions!

Leaving all options open is good. But what if two are still open when they get to your application, they'll probably give you the one you list first.

Oh, yeah. I know. So, I'll probably just list the cheapest one first. *Shrug*

You'd get along well in Australia, we're an extremely friendly bunch on the whole so i'm pretty confident you'd be well taken care of, also, it's a safe country, so the chances of you running into trouble is pretty low (unless, you like, seek it out, rofl) .. with that said.. the majority of stuff worth doing in Australia relates to sightseeing anyway, which is cheap and easy to do because everything is so conveniently connected / is close together in the first place.

Beautiful New Zealand, when not in my own imaginin
Just wondering if New Zealand's anywhere in the brochure? I've noticed a lot of exchange students, but most of them are Asian/German.

That'd mean you'd have to come to Perth.. which is like the most boring, isolated city in the whole of Australia.. I wouldn't want to bring that upon you.. Hahahahahaha.

I think another aspect that really hasn't been brought up is...what are you studying?

Do any of the countries you are considering have excellent programs in the area of study you wish to persue?

I'm not entirely sure what I want to study. I've got plenty of fields I'm interested in, but I can never choose just one. *sigh* I really need to learn to make decisions.

LOL I think that is alright. Someday you will get the hang of it. They all sound like wonderful places to go, with entirely different experiences. All of which you could benefit from.

Have you done any of your own research on the countries? You might see something that jumps out at you and grabs your heart. You know one of those moments where you just know it is right.

Yeah, I've done extensive research on all three of my country research. But they still all sound great.

Either way, I've filled out the application:
    1. Australia.
    2. Ecuador.
    3. Costa Rica.

Yay for multiple slots on the sheet.

I have been to Israel, Holland, and Rome.

    They all have good food.

OH! Just a tip, when traveling out of your country, eat one yogart every morning. It helps avoid any um.....sick stomach issues. A bacteria in the yogart helps the tummy.

Huh. I never thought about that. That's a good idea.

I've been to Germany, Austria, Canada, and Mexico, and am no stranger to riding in planes. I loveeee them. :) But, still, I'm excited now. It's nice to have it down. I like things so much better when decisions are made.

My favorite part is when you take off and land. That moment when you know you are no longer on the ground. And that first little bump feeling you feel when you touch down.

Flying is just amazing. They always post what speed you are flying at and it blows my mind because I feel like I am just sitting in my living room. Except I would never fit that many people in my living room. :p

I envy you both for being able to enjoy flying so much. I had to fly to Calgary from Sacramento, CA yesterday with a stop in Denver, and I seriously considered just moving to Denver so I wouldn't have to get back on the plane. I was downing Pepto Bismal like candy. I like being in new/different places I just hate the getting there part.

Good luck with your exchange Emily! I was always too chicken to go on one, but my friends have been to New Zealand, Japan, and France.
