    Question [Solved] From computer uploads?

Discussion in 'Support & Feedback' started by Lemex, Apr 19, 2015.

One thing I wish this forum had was the ability to upload documents and pictures directly from the computer, onto the forum. In the past I've used third party image sharing websites. Is there any chance of upgrading so we can do both? I feel it spends a lot of time uploading a picture or file onto one site with the sole intention of uploading it here.

Have you tried the "Upload a File" button next to "Post Reply"? ;) If this is done with images, the images can easily be embedded into the post afterwards, while other files will show up under an "attached files" header.

Here's what it looks like when used:

Important to note that with this method, the forum software will limit the size of file/image/whatever. If you find that it won't let you plug the file directly into the post, check that it's not a stonking big .jpg or .png :)

I'm not sure I've ever encountered a "stonking big .jpg or .png", actually. Those formats happen to be the smallest, most compressed image formats available. ;)
