    full page photos

Discussion in 'Self-Publishing' started by Timothy Schablin, Mar 13, 2018.

When using CreateSpace, is it possible to have a photo take up the full page in the interior (with the photo extending to the edges)?

I just sent an email asking. May be a bit before I get an answer, but hopefully
they will get back to me soon. :)

Check what it says all the way at the bottom of this page.

Yes, you can have full-bleed interior photos, as long as you include a 1/8" margin all round the submitted image that can and will be cut off.

Tech support-ish gave me a more detailed message on what @Catrin Lewis
    shared.

Certainly you are allowed to have a full page image in your book.

For best quality, size all images at 100%, flatten them to one layer, and place them in the native document at a resolution of at least 300 DPI. We recommend your images to be fully formatted JPEG files.

Learn more about image resolution terminology:

While you can set your interior to be either black and white or full-color, we print all books with a full-color cover. If you choose to include color images, you can tag them with either a CMYK or RGB profile, or leave them untagged in a generic color space. If you choose to include black and white images, convert them to grayscale.

We recommend converting your files into a PDF. The maximum file size for a cover file is 40 MB. The interior file can be up to 400 MB. As long as your file is within these parameters, you can include as many images as you like.
