I'm writing a book with an invention guide, with each invention being 5 points. You invent something and each invention is worth 5 points and you have to get to 100 points to win. What I have so far is +5 James Webb Space Telescope +10 Quantum computer +15 Fusion reactor +20 Nuclear rocket. Does anybody have any creative, solid ideas for +25 to +100? Arrange it like I did if you could. Thanks
Nuclear Rocket? Don't we already have those. As for futuristic sci fi tech: - Teleportation - A working Jetpack - Invisibility field - Plasma Weaponry - Wield-able Railgun - Shrink Ray - Nano-Walls - Laser Sword (everybody loves those) - Flying Cars - Hover Vehicles - Time Machine as stated above - Fast Space Travel (Whether that be FTL, Wormholes, etc) - Holodeck - Space Travel that can get us out of our solar system - Terraforming machine - Mech/Walking Tank - Genetic Modification The list goes on and on.
No, the USA had plans for one in the 60s called Orion, but it never went anywhere for a number of reasons (a treaty with the UsSR being a major one.) Invisibility cloaks aren't too far in the future, and maybe a fully sentient AI.
Cheap Computing/Communications +50-55 Medical Advancement/Longevity increased to Aprrox. 150yrs. +60 Engineered/Synthetic Body parts+ 65 Portable Hydrogen Fuel Cells +70 Sky Hooks/Orbital Rings +75 Matter Accelerator/Coil Weapons+80 Cold Fusion +85 Inter-planetary/galactic travel +90 Dyson Ball/Swarm or Space Mega Structures +95 A better human-Priceless
A pothole filler that keeps the pothole filled. A dust-buster that will work for more than six months. A beer can tab that won't snap off. A windshield that survive the punishing force of a falling acorn without cracking.
Also there's this: A kind of bubble shield that is able to keep out physical objects to give a perimeter for (in this case) military space ships/drop boats.
Sorry to stray off-topic, but I'm genuinely interested (not irritated) as to why this topic never seems to get taken seriously? I asked almost the identical question in my own thread, and the vast majority of answers were on the silly side.
