Hello! There's not a great deal to say about me... I'm a student currently earning a degree in Electronic Engineering. I've been writing for as long as I can remember (I have a preference for fantasy, though I dabble in pretty much any and every genre). I consider myself unpublished, though I have had some angsty teen poetry that never should have seen the light of day in a couple of dodgy anthologies. I am a self-proclaimed geek, with other interests that include HK action films, anime and gaming. Oh, and I also have an addiction to smilies. So far, is my favourite. Looking forward to being here! As for the Review Room, new joiners often wonder why we do things a bit differently on this site than on other writing sites. We emphasize reviewing as a critical writing skill. Training your eye by reviewing other people's work helps you improve your own writing even before you present it for others to see. Therefore, we ask members to review other people's writing before posting work of their own. The Review Room forums on this site, therefore, are true workshops, not just a bulletin board for displaying your work (and on that note, please only post each item for review in one Review Room forum). On behalf of the reviewers, I would just like to let you know that if you would like a review of your work and have not received one, or you would like further reviews, just send one of us a PM and we would be more than happy to take a look as soon as we have the time. There are lots of areas to get involved in, joint writing ventures, discussions all over the place and our community lounge where we can chat about anything in life, within reason. Any questions, there are plenty of us around to ask. Our moderator base are very friendly and extremely helpful and always there if they are needed.
