    Google Chrome warning

Discussion in 'Support & Feedback' started by Islander, Dec 16, 2010.

When I went to writingforums.org today, Google Chrome warned me that it contained ads from users.marketleverage.com, which had been reported to contain malware on one of its pages.

I don't know if it's something you need to check up, but I just wanted to make sure you knew about it.

I noticed them as well. I have since started blocking all ads from here. Once this adserver is gone, then I can whitelist this site again.

I just got the same warning in Chrome. For someone new to the site, I think it would definitely scare them off.

Certainly needs fixing. I know you will be avoided. I clicked "Proceed anyway" with great trepidation, but a new person will just go away. Who is this advertiser anyway? If they scare Google Chrome, wouldn't you think they should be re-examined?

My anti-virus did not detect anything (except for the cookies I use to login on this site). Do I'm not really sure what the problem is. Thanks for the warning though.

Hey everyone, thanks for letting me know. I use FireFox so I don't get the warning.

There isn't an actual security issue, so I'm a little perplexed as to why the warning is showing up. I have, however, replaced the offending ads, so the warning should be gone. Let me know if you still see it.
